Frea

During a time of Great War in Rayas many years ago, several Tiefling families fled to Ethea. They went on to found the settlement you see today, just far out enough to be left to their own devices but still have access to other locations for trade and supplies. These days, Tieflings and other races once prejudiced are much more welcome and the social interaction in town is like that of any other.   Frea is quite open plan with no walled defences; however, that’s not to say they can’t defend themselves. Watchtowers are common especially around the outskirts and several magical defences are rumoured to exist although their exact nature is mostly unknown. There is no official guard here, the townsfolk usually take care of that themselves, all taking turns to patrol certain areas. The people or companies making the most money for the town tend to have the highest influence in the changes being made.   The main export of the town are the precious metals and gemstones from the mines on the eastern outskirts, some of the largest concentrations of tin and silver in Ethea come from these mines. The land west of Frea offers ample farmland and woodland, more than enough to support the town and make good profit on selling the rest. These operations are always expanding and as such, the Oscord Hills are now under Tiefling control, further expanding their reach and profit margin.   The land to the east, as well as being home to the mines is also under Tiefling control, stretching to cover the Lotak Ruins and Tynn Barrow. Both popular tourist attractions and both playing parts in wars of old, the sites have a lot of history. The land not covered in historical landmarks is filled with estates and manor houses of various barons and baronesses, their business headquarters and enormous gardens.
