Personal history
Born in Marren in 220 SA to an all too young mother Ariadna Carda spent her first six years being raised as a sister to her biological mother, though she found life as a Sirean difficult, due to her vampiric heritage. Eventually she was given up to the Wytchguard during her sixth year, where she struggled to fit in, as most of the others had only known each other for their lives. Quickly she gained a nickname that she despised, "Nod", as she tended to nod when others spoke to her or even when she was thinking, though things changed when combat training started. As she had spent six years as a Sirean, Ariadna already had practice with a bow, and took quickly to this new training.
After a few months Ariadna managed to find a place amongst her new siblings, and felt that she belonged here more than back home in Marren, though she still missed it. As the years went by and her training continued, Ariadna made requests to her instructors for literature from and about the Siraen, as she had not been informed of all their customs before she left. On the stipulation that her loyalty remained with the 'Guard above her homeland, these requests were granted, and Ariadna delved deep into her heritage, finding many things that she resonated with. During training she began to open with a prayer to the Gnarled Guardian, she would wear traditional Sirean clothing and began to design her own Bowstaff.
Eventually, shortly before her graduation, Ariadna asked for specialized training in the use of a Bowstaff. Initially she was refused, stating that the 'Guard did not hit people with their bows, however a Sirean Wytchguard offered to teach her, an elder named Jurost. From this senior Wytchguard Ariadna would learn the way that her people fought, and got it into her head that she would one day wield a bowstaff. In the mean time, however, she had a custom composite longbow made with various Sirean cultural markings, including the tusk of the Guardian.
Her graduation came and went, and soon Ariadna found herself serving in a small Hunting unit, tracking down rogue Charter Mages and eliminating them, work that quickly took a toll on the young woman, as many seemed to have made a mistake and then, to avoid persecution, delved even deeper. Later that first year she was permitted a brief time to reorient herself and, during this time, she would acquire enough mithral to have her own bowstaff forged. This new weapon would go with her everywhere, even when she was assigned as the Wytchguard of Grimoire of the Charter, following them to Kharahal.
