Session 26: The Facade Falls

General Summary

DATE: 11/07/241 SA

• Party finish clear the college, check the Conjuration classroom and find that it has short range teleportation circles that were used to breach the school
• Jarran extracts the magical eye, which stores one usage of Greater Teleport
• Khera Mosris is discovered to be shunted into a tree in her office, against her will, and saved by the party, though some vials of a powerful universal mutagen were stolen
• Professor Mosris also disclosed (later) that she is in the possession of Transmutation needles, which are highly illegal
• With the entire student and staff present being cleared the lock down is lowered to a minor state, where teleportation within campus grounds is prevented and all individuals entering the building are checked for Inheritor markings
• The party check on the two remaining missing professors; a Druidcraft professor who is very much alive as a Dire Bear in their apartment (unlike the Inheritors that tried to break in) while the last remaining one (Gribbi) was killed via the usage of a Transmutation Needle, turning them into a Hungering Flesh ooze
• Grimmie works on upgrades to the LOTUS satellites
• Lohren orders the creation of an arcane tea bush
• Jarran spreads the word of his cannon
• Bubba tries to learn Sylvan
• Reddrum goes to drink, and learns of a 'Charter' attack on the city of Vixeres, that all of the Arcane Cores have been stolen this time, around thirty-thousand people are dead and some hidden facilities were also hit
• Gathering the party at Grimmie's office to talk about this, the party's planning is interrupted when a Wytchguard summons Grimoire to the College Foyer where Manachan and a small group of burly, angry Siraen's are verbally assaulting a professor
• Grimmie manages to deescalate things with Manachan, hands over the two remaining prisoners to Manachan, and then goes to the Diplomat Suite at the Town Hall to talk with Manachan
• At the Diplomatic Suite Manachan has Perit place a Zone of Truth on the party and then goes over what he knows, learns what the party knows, shares some visuals from Vixeres (which confirms the presence of some Inheritors, at least) and after coming to understand that the local College is separated from the attack, begins to give out orders to the party
• Grimmie is asked to keep the College Dimensional lock up for the time being, also looks into forbidden knowledge to try and keep the Tomb of the Crescent King powered (strong divine artifacts or continual magical poured into it are the only realistic options, or lots of souls)
• Reddrum is asked to get word to the Sootguard on the potential of rogue mages
• Jarran is asked to tell his Grandfather "I'm calling it in"
• Lohren beseeches some gods for aid; Ylros is in great pain, Telsin is pissed and Kurvidar has activated a Blade of Life (You hurt my mum, time to die)
• Bubba exists
• All of these actions are resolved, then session ends
