Session 18: A Case of Stolen Identity

General Summary

DATE: 11/03/241-13/03/241

• After arriving back in Kharahal the party immediately sought out Narron to get Reddrum reincarnated
• After taking the money from Reddrum's body to pay for the oils needed for the spell, Narron told the party how it would work, then cast the Spell
• Reddrum agreed to the conditions set by Narron, and was reincarnated as a Wyvaran
• After this everyone went to bed
• Next morning Jarren helped out at home and then modified Reddrum's armour for his new body, adding a helmet; Bubba slept in, Grimmie went to see Steve and David, Marrin was also there, David was unconscious and Steve was baking; Lohren did something (cannot remember what), Reddrum learnt how to fly
• Lohren and Grimmie met at the Fifth Pillar, where while looking through Grimmie's tea collection they were interrupted by the appearance of an old 'friend' of Grimoire's, Archmage Jaldros, who insulted Grimmie a bit before leaving after learning that Ellisar was not present
• Looking in his office they find a note stating that he has left after something of import to his research (not uncommon)
• Lohren and Grimmie had morning tea with Steve
• After morning tea and grabbing Bubba they go to the College to communicate with Methilid
• Are met by Mage Khera Mosris, Alchemical Professor of the College, who led them to the Sending Stone room, adjacent to the Diviner's chamber
• After sending the message Methilid teleports right into the Diviner's chamber, almost breaking a number of Crystal balls
• Small reunion, party learns that Methilid is leading negotiations between warring factions of Metallic and Chromatic Dragons
• Methilid greets everyone, sets someone to look into Lohren's request, Bubba learns that they are comprised of the essence of the ancient Demon Lord Kro-ack, the Frog Lord
• A therapist who owes Methilid some favour is dispatched to aid David
• Grimmie goes to check up on Khontu Yuest's progress on the Lotus, and finds that she has been taken by Jaldros, along with the Lotus
• Bubba and Lohren are sent to gather the other two while Grimmie goes to check what is going on with the College, only to be arrested by three Charter Battlemages while Ariadna is disarmed
• Ariadna goes to inform the others while Grimmie is taken into custody
• Upon returning to the College with the party and requesting entry, Headmaster Drizax teleports down to the party and then teleports them into his Demi-Plane, where he explains what has happened: the Charter Council has set out a warrant for Grimmie's arrest, what for is classified
• The party go to see Grimmie and get little else in answers, though the lead Battlemage offers to bring them with if they can testify for Grimmie's defense
• After preparing to leave the party and Grimmie get Gated to Iarion, where Grimmie is sent to another cell while the others explore the city
• Lohren buys magic paints and a paintbrush of Greater Detail (+5 to painting shit)
• Bubba tries food (stuffed mushrooms n shit)
• Jarren gets the damaged Nodachi restored as well as sees a strange set of armour (made for a Kasatha Planeswalker)
• Reddrum has a drink and reunites with Vadim, who is in the city for some reason
• Party gathers with Methilid and Grimmie to plan defense, and learn that Grimmie has, apparently, been conducting 'anti-Charter' actions for three years, culminating in the recent detonation of a WMD
• Grimmie has no recollection of this and was present with the party at the time of the detonation
• Many ideas were shared, including the potentiality of a clone or twin of Grimmie
• Eventually the party went to rest, with Ariadna going to call in Grimmie's favour with Vadim
• Next day they reunite before shortly entering into the Courtroom (circular in construction, with the 'audience' around the entrance, members of both the Defense and Plaintiff parties on either side, the Jury on the far side behind the Judge with the Judge on a small raised platform)
• Plaintiff and Defense gave opening statements
• Finally, in the words of the party; 'Time to Phoenix Wright this shit'
