Session 19: Better Call Methilid

• Opened on reviewing the evidence against Grimmie
• Moved on to witness testimonies, Bubba ruled out as a trustworthy source, Reddrum held in contempt of court while the others managed to argue and win against them from being eliminated
• Methilid quickly eliminated the evidence as circumstantial, as well as easily being fabricated due to magic, thus moving the conversation away from Grimmie being the actual subject of the photos to how did the spell (modified teleport) come to be known outside of the Arcane Vault
• Vadim discovered that the whole case was more of a proxy battle between two different factions, one anti-Arcanist while the other was simply the enemy of the former
• Also discovered that all of the photos were taken by 'different' individuals that actually seem to be the same person, who has disappeared. Lohren offered a favour for more info on this individual
• Party hypothesized about a potential clone of Grimmie that could hear and remember everything they hear, though have little evidence
• Grimmie then remembered about Blood Biography, and asked for Methilid to use it in the Courtroom
• Methilid discovered that the first Vial of Blood was actually blood from when Grimmie swore their oaths, and has been stolen from the repository
• The next three blood samples are all from the same creature, which had strange and aggressive responses (it is unknown what it actually is, though it responded formless and beyond comprehension)
• With pretty much all evidence against Grimmie eliminated and some of it outright pointing away, the Jury ruled that Grimmie was innocent, and the Court was adjourned
• Vadim found out that all of the identities of the photographer had bank accounts, homes and active lives that all suddenly ended the day the spell was cast, four days ago (on the 09/03/241)
• Khontu was freed and reunited with the party before leaving
• Lohren learnt that if the magic powered from the Mage Bane is mixed with paints it can paint ever-changing art
• Jarren saw a Kasatha, an alien, in the Armoury fitting and paying for the armour he saw previously
• The Kasatha has many odd items on it's belt and carried a strange rifle
• Party returned back to Kharahal, where they immediately said goodbye to Methilid and went into the Fifth Pillar to see the completed LOTUS
• The two completed prototypes each have a number of buds which Khontu harvests, and a trail run with Grimmie flying on the back of Reddrum with perfect connection is performed
• Lohren returns the translation device to the Hexed Rune
• Bubba trains with Ariadna in some Siraen martial arts
• Grimmie concocts a liquid solution to stop the LOTUS from growing buds
• Reddrum goes drinking
• Lohren Summons Aion and has some chats, learns that the Charter has been badgering the Ashlanders again over keeping the Charter out, though it seemed to be new faces
