The Fragments of the Core

Seven pieces of Aion were handed out to the Kalign and the Hammer of Aion as a gift for their sacrifice during the Godplague, when Aion was saved by the devotion of his followers. Touched by their sacrifice he gave up a portion of his immortal body so that his people would forever be reborn and remain with him. Each of the fragments is dedicated to a different aspect of the Ashlands and can grant power to individuals who undergo a special ritual called Vilnrk, where they become closely tied to the fragment. Those that undergo this ritual become known as Incendis and are some of the most powerful individuals in the Ashlands, though due to the ritual they become even more closely tied to Aion and begin to share his point of view.

The Brandhammer

Weapon of Anri, the First Hammer of Aion, the Brandhammer was created for Anri when she chose to protect her people when the Humans attacked Aljarn, and was used to smite the enemies of Aion for decades after. Though the weapon itself is tied to Anri's Legend as an artifact, the weapon pulses with divine power and remains within Mount Nouripo until Anri is reborn again.

Holy Books & Codes

Aion has no Holy Text, as his Priests are only chosen and granted power when they fully understand what Aion is asking of them and the Ifriti. Due to this, it is rare for Outsiders to truly understand the religion, though in 64 SA the book 'The Ashbringer's Word' was published, written by Vylfaen Elaris, a follower of Qhymos who spent a few years understanding and writing down what the religion entails.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

For most people, a white flame of ash is the general symbol of Aion, though due to the close relation of the Hammer of Aion to their god, their symbol is sometimes used to represent Aion as well. This symbol is of a gray double-headed war-hammer with three veins of red on either head joining to a single vein running down the center, shrouded in a wreath of ash-white flame.

Tenets of Faith

Aion has always sought to aid those who suffered for his awakening, which has translated into a strong message of helping others amongst his followers. Aion seeks to understand others and aid them where possible, which is part of the reason the Ashlands began their own counter-crusade against the Wetlands of the West during the Crusade of Bronze & Bone.
