Justicar Elliot Dent, Mayor of Arrowbreach
One of the younger guards in the service of House Hayford of Haycastle at the beginning of 441KS, Elliot was involved in many of the events in the Duchy that year leading into House Crowler of Allerton's betrayal of Duke Brennar Hayford and The Ambush on the Kingsroad.
Following those events, when House Hayford was attainted by House Somercrag of Bayglen, Elliot along with two other men-at-arms, Isambard Brunel and Eomund Steadde left Haycastle to avoid coming under the command of House Hespeak of Haycastle. When The Tourney at Fairstrand 441KS turned bloody and led into The Revolution of 441KS, the three guards returned to Haycastle to attempt to rescue or defend ser Edgarth Hayford as best they could while he remained a prisoner of the Royalist Soldiers there.
As a result, Elliot was amongst those Royalist Soldiers in the garrison of Haycastle when ser Allon Southbay arrived to negotiate the surrender of the Royalists. Ser Edgarth Hayford spoke up on the behalf of Elliot and Eomund to have them treated seperately to the 'true' royalists, however Isambard's Brunel actions during the initial release of hostages meant that he could not be given the same leniency.
Following Duke Edgarth's restoration he rewarded Elliot and Eomund with seats and positions on his council, in Elliot's case the Mayorship of Arrowbreach and the position of Justicar.
During the Tourney at Southbay 443KS and following a number of other visits to Southbay with his Duke, Elliot made a connection with Hannah Frosher during the Archery Competion of the Tourney and invited her to return with him to Arrowbreach, where they were later wed and had three children, Anna, Matthew and Grayce.
In 454KS, House Hayford rose in rebellion against the crown in The War For The Foxworth Secession 454KS and Elliot marched to war alongside his fellow vassals, fighting in The Battle of Conbridge. In July of 454KS, while organising boats to ferry The Men-at-Arms of House Hayford across Westlake, he was assassinated by Shela Blackwood.
