Blackwatch Point
Blackwatch Point is a castle, or rather a network of castles, walls, watchtowers and outposts that sprawl across a stretch of the Southern island of The Continent of Amoth, between the mountains and the coast, roughly marking the Southern boundary of The Influence of The Black Sun.
The people of Blackwatch Point, who refer to themselves as 'Enkindled' or 'Ashborn', and to outsiders as 'Embers', are violently opposed to all members of The Church of The Black Sun, but most especially to Shades and the Shadebound. They make heavy use of fire as a means to combat the darkness, with their fortifications surrounded by constantly burning ditches in place of moats, and their soldiers carrying blazing torches in place of traditional weapons.

Government
Ser Kedrick Brightborn is the Lord of Blackwatch Point. They are supported by a number of Marshals and Luminators.
Marshals
Marshal is the title given to the various officers in Blackwatch Point who command individual fortifications across Blackwatch's network of defenses, or lead units of the Enkindled into The Influence of The Black Sun to put down Shades or the Shadebound before they can reach Southern Amoth.Luminators
Luminator is the title given to those individuals who dedicate themselves to preaching against The Church of The Black Sun, many of whom live in Blackwatch to lead and inspire the other Ashborn, while others wander The Continent of Amoth or occasionally even further afield to encourage others to become Enkindled.History
Much of the early history of the Luminators is lost, or so steeped in myth and symbolism as to be impossible to verify. Certainly resistance to the forces of The Black Sun has existed for hundreds of years, though whether all the feats claimed by the order from this time can be considered real, or attributed to them, is unclear.
What is known to be true is that over a century ago, in 344KS, Jelissa Myre, the then Governor of Haven's Port, began work on an ambitious construction - the crux of several decades of planning and fundraising - to erect a fortification on the Northern slopes of the island to act as a bastion against the various raiders and pirates coming from the Black Sun's Aura.
Though it has been ruined several times in the years since, the bones of that ancient castle make the foundations of Blackwatch Point - in particular, the Lord Commander's chambers still preserve some evidence of the first castle built on the site in the form of the hearth and chimney stacks.
The network of defences that surround Blackwatch Point has changed many times over the years since its construction, ebbing and flowing like a tide as the Luminators claimed land and were driven back by the forces of the darkness.
In 454KS Kedrick was visited again by members of the King-in-Exile's court, this time ser Ashtin Phyrefenn and his companions, who sought to recruit the Luminators to join the King's cause and travel to The Kingdom of Somercrag to reclaim the throne.
