ser Kedrick Brightborn, Tender of The Everburning Flame, The Spark, Lord of Blackwatch Point

Early Life

Kedrick was born in the year 412KS in a small hamlet on the Eastern slopes of The Northern Spine, the only child of a tanner.
Even as a child, they were attracted to the sermons of Blackwatch Luminators who passed through the settlement on occasion, and by the age of twelve had expressed and interest in leaving the foothills to become Enkindled, though their father insisted that they stay to learn his trade and take up his business.
In 428KS a band of Black Sun raiders attacked the growing village, pillaging and burning, killing most of the inhabitants, including Kedrick's father. Kedrick was amongst the survivors, and one of the few brave enough to stand against the attackers. In the wake of the attack Kedrick led what they could of the rebuilding efforts, but when a Luminator passed through again the following year left with them, travelling to Blackwatch Point and joining the ranks of the Enkindled.

Enkindled

Over the following years Kedrick rose through the ranks, first to watch command, then to Marshal of Fort Bleakwater, and finally to Lord Commander of Blackwatch Point itself.
In 447KS King Dalran Somercrag visited Blackwatch Point, accompanied by various members of his court including his brother ser Mitchar Hespeak and his squire Jesmyn. While little ground was made between Kedrick and the King-in-Exile, a connection was formed between the Lord Commander and ser Mitchar, who made many visits to Blackwatch Point over the following months.
In 448KS ser Mitchar visited Blackwatch Point in preparation for his return to The Continent of Igend. He asked Kedrick to accompany him, and when they refused, gave them the honour of a Knighthood.
In 454KS ser Kedrick once more hosted representatives of the King-in-Exile, ser Ashtin Phyrefenn and his companions. Once again they saw a connection with a Somercragian knight, this time being the one to offer the knight to join their ranks and being refused.
