The beauty and grace of Faene culture is often mimicked among Calvorans but they are picky in what they keep or take from our ways. I believe it is for the best. Half of our ways stem from before the nightmares of the Necromantic War. The other emphasizes gentleness and caution during the Restoration Era.

There’s a common mindset among the Faene about the elven family tree. Orrilius is considered to be the Grandest Father as the base root of the family. As a result of this, most Elves often refer to each other as “cousins” when mingling with other elven types.

Informal Gatherings

When one is invited to a meeting hosted by the Faene, a lot of formal structures are abandoned for relaxed postures. When one enters into a court full of eladrin, for instance, they may find that they act more at home. Legs are rested onto a table, heads might drop onto a table, and one may even find a noble laying their back on a table to watch their guest while their legs rest on their chair.

Of course, when serious matters are afoot among other races, they swiftly become calm and reserved. They know some cultures do not take kindly to sloppy behavior.

Deer Show Competitions

A deer show is popular among rural Faene. It’s a competition designed to showcase the best of the best deer around, ranging from elk, moose, to reindeer. Winning requires your entry to be the best among a chosen species like moose or elk as determined by a judge. The judge gages the victor based on the health and wellbeing of the animal, the size of their rack to ensure it’s reasonable and isn’t too small or burdensome for the animal, and how well behaved the deer is.

Courtship Ideals

To fall in love with someone Faene is to have a childish yet heartfelt romance. Assuming, of course, both the person and Faene partner share the same feelings for each other. This sort of mindset lasts until children are had and becomes replaced with maturity, for the most part.

Relationship Ideals

Faene loathe having strict and serious relationships. You can easily make them comfortable if they are allowed to behave more casually. Such friendships are often immature, low stress, and have high energy. Youngsters are often extroverts while they become more mellowed out by age and potentially becoming introverted as they enjoy the quieter livelihood.
