Naaludiri

A race that live across southern Eveynjar, the Naaludiri, also known as the Steel Elves, are an incredibly advanced group of elves that are considered a counterpart to the Dvardiri of the north, though both share a vendetta against the other. More open and honest than their dwarven counterparts, the Steel Elves are also called Gnomes, though they share nothing with their multiversal counterparts. Able to harness the powers hidden within medals, they are known for creating impressive constructs and powerful armor and weaponry, though it is this same technology that was their races' undoing. You are descended from the Na'al Drakken and the Gai'yen, a race of metallic fae.

Naaludiri, the Steel Elves

Steel-skinned

With skin that incorporates various metals into the skin to form a sort of natural chain mail, many Naaludiri forgo armor in lieu of natural defense, though this defense does have some serious repurcussions. With a minor weakness to fire and acid damage, this natural armor becomes an incredible weakness when faced with the more dangerous denizens of Ethenrea, like Dragons and Centirak.

This natural defense also manifests itself in defense against natural hazards. Whether dense aether or the presence of radioactive material, Naaludiri shrug it off, surviving otherwise incredibly dangerous situations.

Engineers of Monsters

Before the Fall of Valoreum, the Diiv were presented with a unique problem, as they were bombarded by elementals from below, using vast tunnels originally constructed for trade between the two cultures. The Diiv needed something to deter the elementals, and the combined efforts of Dragon and Elf led to the construction of various self-replicating automata more advanced than anything currently alive. Known as the Dwiin'Sunvaar or Steel Beasts, the creatures protected the Diiv from the elemental kin. What they didn't expect was an elf to turn on them. A Naaludiri by the name of Tial Rhudix somehow changed or corrupted the steel creatures to devour anything that moved. With a even more dangerous problem now on their hands, the Diiv destroyed the tunnels, ensuring that these creatures could no more harm either lineage.

To this day, the Naaludiri don't forget the threat this individual could cause, and many attempt to come up with solutions should the creatures ever arise again.

History of Devastation

After the Fall of Valoreum, the Naaludiri settled Eveynjar alongside their cohorts, the Dvardiri. For 1000 years, the Naaludiri and Dvardiri expanded their trades and civilization, creating a massive underground nation within the modern Raydosa Mtns, spanning most of Hallojar, Yandaijar, and the Kalth. However, the nation fell as a conflict of ideals arose between the Naaludiri, who wished to spread technology freely, and the Dvardiri, who wished to guard advanced technology from those who'd abuse it. This lead to a civil war between the two races which almost left both races on the verge of extinction.

After the fall of that nation, the Naaludiri found themselves being driven to southeastern Eveynjar, in what is now Fahliilenjar. Desiring the ability to work on advancing technology, the Naaludiri required a stable environment to advance their work, and seeing their kin in the area wishing for a stable nation, the Naaludiri did what they did before: collaboration. With the knowledge of the wilds from the Maaridiri, the knowledge of masonry from the Syndiri, and the knowledge of politics from the Muridiri, the elven nation of Fahliilenjar was created.
