Útlúks

The Útlúkans1 are a Mörkel tribe inhabiting central Outer-Dagtí on the northeastern Plain of Kings, around the town of Gesúl by the central Ellú River, between the traditional territories of North-Dagtíans to the northeast and Ysans to the south. They are related to the Tlókonans east of Fekai Lake on the central plains, and were originally one of most powerful tribes living in what is now Tlókon before migrating to Outer-Dagtí during the early fifth century as the armies of Tartyslía invaded the region.
There, the Útlúkans became subjects to the ruling North-Dagtíans and have been gradually assimilated into the latter's culture for the most part. More recently, Útlúkans have become heavily influenced by Ameders visiting the land, more so than any other Mörkels on the Plain of Kings.
Traditionally, their main duty is to keep an eye on the Knárs on the Plain of Spirits beyond the river Ellú and make sure these hostile, centaur-like people don't ford the river.

Common Myths and Legends

Útlúkans consider the mother goddess Leþa their patron deity, whom they now equate with Kleþra, divine huntress of the Ameders. The veneration of the war goddess Datena never declined among Útlúkan warriors as it did among their relatives in Tlókon.
