Karmin Plain
The Karmin Plain is a broad swathe of fertile land running along either side of the River Karm. It is bounded in the north by the Gray Mountains and Great North Wood, in the east by the Windy Sea stretching to the western borderlands of th Kingdom of Tarrel. The plain contains several a large forests, most notably the Forest of Tarlot at its eastern end. The plain is crossed by numerous rivers, some flowing eastward towards the Windy Sea and some flowing from the Spine northward to feed into the River Karm.
Ecosystem
The plain is very fertile especially near the major rivers which have spread rich alluvial soil along their flood plains. Grassy steppe and small forests are spread accross the plain with low rolling hills in some areas and dense forest covering the eastern most sections.
Fauna & Flora
The well-watered sections of the plain are heavily cultivated with fields of grain, hay, orchards and vegetalbe gardens. It's extensive grasslands are used to graze herds of cattle, sheep and horses. Except in areas near the forests of Tarlot, the Great Northwood and the Grey Mountains large predators are rare. These areas along the margins will see visits by wolves, bears, Naarmen and various monsters.
