Prepped art
Below is some of the art I have prepared to make summer camp easier. Highly likely that none, or only some, of it will be used -- but I'm gonna try, dangit! Most of it is from River Artazia, but the birds are from a while before, and were never given an article.
Goals, Rewards, Motivation
I struggle with all of these. They're hard to determine, hard to follow, and easily forgettable for me :( All the same, I like to give myself vague guidelines within each as something to help guide my thoughts. I know that no matter what, at the end I'll have done something I'm happy with and proud of.
During and after summer camp will be my bonus goal of trying to read as much as I can, however I know this time period is going to be a major blast of articles, and I need to make myself okay with not reading everything. The same goes for everyone else -- it's okay to not read everything from me, if you need to delete my notifications to make space for your mental health and ability to write your own work, please do!
Goals
Reach copper level, and have not burnt myself out by trying to go over the top for all 10 articles. 300 words minimum, and I'm quite okay with making short articles!
Rewards
Icecream. Videogames. Icecream AND videogames. To be honest, rewards are hard, because I'm perfectly capable of rewarding myself without "doing the thing" first, haha.
Motivation
Continue to connect the dots, make my world feel more fleshed out, and build my writing skill! Get things moving for a patreon I want to set up in June.
Summercamp 2022 Themes
Since I'm very aware that I won't have time for anything close to diamond this year, that means I will get to pick and choose which prompts I like best and want to write the most. The themes presented this year are all quite fascinating to me, and I'm really looking forward to trying to blend some of them together. Monstrous leadership, anyone?
Key things to note going into the themes: I want to focus on the region of Cathedris that includes Artazia and surrounding countries. It's loosely based off of British Columbia, Canada -- this means it's mountainous, heavily forested, but also has a few plateaus within as well.
Expanse
I could take the expanse theme in a few different directions. First thoughts that come to mind are glaciers, plateaus, or massive deltas. But I think expanse could also be used to describe a large, seemingly endless range of mountains.
There are large cities in Artazia, but none large enough to be considered an expanse -- instead, this fits better for nature and geography for me.
Leadership
Oh boy, leadership! There's so much I can cover here. A few key organizations exist within Cathedris, and they're all something that would be fun to deepen with character or organization articles. The Legion can have multiple points of leadership within it -- monstrous leadership in some of the secret upper ranks, council members, all sorts of things. There's also the Legion resistance. And of course the country of Artazia will have it's own leaders as well.
Discovery
The first thing I think of for Discovery is Discovery as a part of exploration. There's a lot of wildnerness in Artazia, meaning there's plenty to discover.
Yet there's another way to take this theme, and I think it could lead to some really interesting articles -- discovery through experimentation, rather than exploration. There's a lot of experimentation with Ichor and humans, animals, or even minerals that could take place within this country. It could easily blend with the Leadership and Monstrous themes, too.
Monstrous
*rubs hands together gleefully*
The biggest thing I want to write for Monstrous is some truly horrible leaders throughout Cathedris. There are people who give no regards for human life, and instead push towards blasphemous experimentation to create and obtain new power over the world. They are secretive people, with hidden plans and plenty of corruption.
Also, I could definitely make a Rendling or two! Even if they're not the main focus of a species article, it's fun adding 'rendling variants'.

The Artazian Mini-Meta
As mentioned before, Artazia is loosely based on, or inspired by, the province in which I grew up -- British Columbia. It's a pretty large and varied province (944,735 km²), which means there's tons to draw inspiration from! Click on the tabs above this to view different images and links that I find inspiring, for this particular region.
The Plan
Where and When
Ah, July. The busiest month besides December. Why not also bring moving into the mix? Sounds like a great time.
I've got a friends weekend for July 1st, a camping weekend on one of the next two weekends, and during the weeks I'll be packing for mine and my partners moves, which occur on the last week of July. This means I have weekday nights left available, when I'm not busy with other stuff. My goal is Copper, so that means 2-3 prompts done per week. If I budget a couple hours a night, a few times a week, I can get this done.
Who and How
Plenty of rest, caffeine, good friends, and good ibuprofen for when I'm sore! (Probably not all at once, though)
One of my favourite things is always hanging out in the challenge discussion channel, or during the big flagship events, hanging out in the summer camp channel. This is where you'll find me during my work hours (Shhhh!), hanging out and chatting about fun things to take my mind off other things. I've also got group chats and servers with friends which make for amazing and uplifting spaces to help me succeed.

Camp Chill
I mentioned it at the beginning, but it's important enough that I need to reiterate it here -- I will be participating in Camp Chill. Check out the guidelines below and join us in some enjoyable, low stress, high-fun worldbuilding next month (and beyond!).
Nnie's Camp Chill Guidelines
- Remember the prompts are suggestions, not requirements.
- Write what you're passionate about, leave what you aren't.
- Relax when you feel tired.
- Fight off any pesky brain-squitos trying to make you doubt your work.
- Don't abandon your non-summercamp goals! Write that article you're itching to write, even if it doesn't fit any prompts.

Have I mentioned yet how much I adore your "Try a Random Article" addition to the footer? <3 Looking amazing!! Camp Chill seems like a great way to approach the month, especially with so much stuff on your plate for the summer already. I hope there are species prompts so we can learn more about those critters! :D
You are doing a great job! Keep creating; I believe in you!
Luridity: Where love is love and life is lived. Contains NSFW content.
Now with serialized fiction on Ream!!
Yay, thank you for saying so! :D I'm super happy with it, it feels like I'm reaching a good level for presentation and user journeys for reading Cathedris! Time to enjoy some excellent chill and hopefully write a few critters :D I hope you too have a great, chill, and productive to the level you want, summer camp! <3
