Session 67: We defeat the Magnuses

It is PanAelsh th 16th 1083 4:30pm
 
We are in the middle of the desolate dessert in outer space. We've just defeated a Neothelid. We discuss taking a long rest somewhere. WE talk about taking a long rest. Ash picks up a rock and it has holes in it and it blows out a light breeze. We gather up a few of these. We think they could be from whatever landed in this crater.
 
Because Elias was granted with the power to understand a lot of this stuff and the hieroglyphs, he is able to understand what the keynar was. This device had its own magical abilities. Many cultures worshiped it and used it to cast rituals, but then it would break away and end up somewhere else. It was a marble that giants played with once, and the giant that had it grew large and mean and murderous.
 
This thing has been the reason for a lot of death and betrayal. the spirit of this thing was akin to Zozth's will and that's kind of what influenced it and caused it to act the way it did. Not because Zozth did that on purpose, but just because it kind of absorbed Zozth's will while he worked and meditated.
 
We start our long rest.
 
While resting, Hydr watches the sun move behind the pyramid pretty quickly. The pyramid has sprouted tentacles. We decide to just sleep through it.
 
While Franz is on watch he hears a voice ask what we are doing on his planet and why did we mess with HIS kenar? It tries to do something with Franz's mind.
 
He wakes us up and shows us a cool mask that he made with the air rocks. Panfyr decides to stay awake with Franz until Ash's meditation is over.
 
Franz starts hallucinating blood filling in holes on the ground and all over panfyr. Franz and Panfyr finish their watch.
 
While Ash is on watch, tentacles come in and start grabbing Hydyr and drag both he and Ash away. The rest of the party chase after them while this thing tells us that he is angry with us for waking him up. He tells us he is Kanchelsis.
 
As we run towards the pyramid, the ground starts to fill with blood and the world reshapes around us? I guess we never actually left the original pyramid? We see Quill and Fite stuck in the walls from when it moved.
 
We then see Morpheus walk in with his eyes glazed over. Franz is like, this isn't real, but Morpheus and Eloi are here is like, this is the power of Kanchelsis. We determine they are being controlled by the Magnuses who fucking walk up behind us. Ash lights the candle we have, and this annoys the Magnuses, but keep them from controlling Franz and Hydr
 
We all are able to eventually get out of the hallucination that is transforming this room.
 
Franz Magnus tells us he is glad we are here, because we opened the door for them???
 
Panfyr is like fuck you guys and throws holy water in Franz's face. A fight breaks out. In the fight we find that fire really scares and hurts them. Franz Magnus gets decapitated by Morpheus. This enrages Jezabel. She screams to Kanchelses to give her back Franz to which Kanchelses responds No. However, Morpheus falls over dead, and we figure out that it's because his sire died.
 
Ash has one of Franz's fingers in a portable hole, but she does not have a body part for Hydr, so she may not be able to reincarnate Hydr, because Kanchelses completely absorbs the body.
 
Jezabel tries to escape, and we all decide to fight her anyway. We are able to defeat her as she tries to escape. As she starts to melt away into blood, she prays to Kanchelses to save her and she will do anything.
 
Kanchelses is like, dude, you failed me. As she mealts Franz and Hydr start to melt. Kanchelses is like, one of you can take Jezebel's place. Ashe, Panfyr and Elias play rock paper scissors. Ash looses. As she attempts to take Jezebel's place, Eloi walks up and says he'll do it.
 
We ultimately decide to let him do it. He wants us to tell Vesta it was worth eveything. If we ever go after Eloi, Kanchelses will absorb Franz and Hydyr.
 
They are still fucking vampire spawns. We did this for nothing???? And this continent of people will likely be subject to torture and misery anyway now with Eloi.
 
It is PanAelsh th 16th 1083 11pm
 
We still haven't completed a long rest, and we have to figure out how to get out of here.
