Session 78: Adventures in a new world???

As we get into the Astral Plane. We feel admonished by the weave. As we are floating and finding our barings, we start feeling words in our minds.
 
We get dumped onto the ground. and we notice Panfyr is on where to be seen. We notice it's cool and appears to be maybe Autumn. TWe are on some kind or land connector.
 
As we try to figure out what is going on and where we are at, we hear a female voice say "come along vark...come on now." Franz sends Fran to check it out. We see a halfling walking with a cane and has a leash with a bizarre looking creature tagging along. Her name is Dara Tosleaf
 
She offers us food and asks if we are going to the Good Barrel Celebration.....Good Barrel is a name that has been floating around in some of our minds. The village in front of is Asheberry. This is placed from the Hollow. The Good Barrels are a family here....Someone named Flint ood Barrel has passed away.
 
The mayor of Ashberry is Thomas E. Bomblebor. When Flint died, he was doing a delivery at another town. HIs Da, Dorn, was murdered on a run. Flint felt horribly, because he usually goes with his Da, but didn't this time. He then went on a run and he was also murdered. They have asked if we are here to investigate.
 
Flint is up on a pyre waiting to be burned. Ash turns into a spider and goes to check out the wounds. There are puncture wounds. pointy stabby stabby kind. seems like different kinds of weapons were used, but of the pointy kind.
 
FArris the young brother of Fint says a few words. He talks about the tragedy and promises to continue serving the community. He's going to do a delivery tomorrow.
 
Franz turns into Ash for fun and gives a speech. They pretend to be twin sisters.
 
We agree to accompany Farris to Silverton tomorrow. There is a mines there called Votour mines....VOTOUR is another word in some of our minds.
 
We go to the inn to get some rest and get in a bar fight instigated by a brute grabbing Ash's ass. She is NOT having it. She slaps the shit out of him, and Hazel tells him to apologize, and when he doesn't, Hazel literally knocks his head off. This gets the law enforcement called on us.
 
The mayor lets us sleep their free, but wants us gone in the morning with Farris. We have to make amends by finding out who is killing the Good Barrels.
 
There is a red fox that watches us at night when we wleep. In the morning on our way to town we see the carcass of the red fox. A gnome drops down from a tree claiming to have saved the party, because the fox was being controlled by Pyter. He demanded 200GP and some magic items. This gnome - Splat says he works for someone named Helga.
 
We end up fighting some Splat/2 nothics/a bugbear We find a piece of paper with the following letters
ACKE
dagger +1
wand of magic missile
some currency
 
We need to go see Father John in the church--he's the one who found the bodies initiallyl--Ferris wants to deliver a note to him.
we also need to deliver the apples to the baker
 
We stop by the church first. Ferris Gives Father John the letter from the Mayor. Father John prays over all of us. tries to get us to kiss some feet on a statue. No thank you.
 
We learn that the bodies were found on the road to Ashberry, about halfway. He says their faces were a bit contorted. There was a defense would on one of their hands. He tells us about Helga and how she is some kind of witch.
We learn Piter is evil and he stays away from the Hollow. Silver is becoming less available.
 
Elias is able to steal the letter from Father Jon's pocket. He reads it and reseals it and sneaks it back into church for Father John to find it.
 
We head towards Claudette at teh bakery for some more information. We help Ferris unload the apples. We buy some pies. She tells us business has been slower lately.
 
Ash and Alina have lost their money pouches 374GP 17SP.
 
Mrs. Sargood walks into the store and this is where we end. It's Helga. This is where we end.
