Session 73: A fight with Zozth

I walked in and Arina is talkin to a sphinx. She getting frustrated because she can't give a good enough answer to the question of "Who are you"? But she's really close.
 
We saw plants growing through the chamber where the moon dragons were. There is an illusion of the night sky.
 
A summer eladrin showed up out of the bushes.
 
In typical fey wild fashion was super vague and warned us of the coming of Gynathet.
 
Lips with a spike throught the bottom lip sigil appeared on the dias. This Gynathet is asking everyone who they are.
 
She tries to telepport Ash to the maiden of the moon. The group is like, please don't
 
The sphinx split hyadr in two. but it's a mental split? angry hyadr murdered less angry hyadyr.
 
Hazel showed up as a ghosty person and asked if he was trying to kill more orces. each version said yes and no.
 
They killed each other, because they were trying to figure out who was real.
 
Franz's memory transplanted us to the boat where Morpheus jumped in front of him and maybe "died"
 
 
Panfyr goes on about who she is before being asked. The sphynx asks why she calls herself by the name sheh does'nt own? Lots of therapy talk happens.
 
Now we go to the underdark and see a gnome being beaten by dark elves. They are looking for Panfyr, and the gnome says where he last saw her. The male dark elf has maken it his life goal to find her.
 
Alina gets asked about who she is. Talks about light and dark and who she is. .
 
 
This is where Randi is officially back.
 
Cheten is then asked who she is by the spynx.
 
she says "me unfortunately" Cheten has a lot of regrets. The sphynx asks if she is her regrets, and she says yes. Although she's trying not to be.
The sphynx approaches Cheten and her wings start to grow from her back. and then says Cheten is now no one...and Cheten says she can now start to figure out who she is.
 
We then appear in the village where cheten has her most regrets. It's her village that she was not able to defend.
Multiple other fairies are fighting a large owl, and this is the battle in which Cheten loses her wings.
The owl rips off Chetens wings. The sphynx show that the owl is now feeding her young ones mouse. I guess this means the village weas never attacked, and then she asks if she has taken Cheten's identity. Cheten says her identity has been replaced? Cheten tries to answer, but it is not a suitable answer and the sphynx undid making everything good and now Cheten is wingless again.
 
She asks Ashe who Elias is. As Ash says who Elias is to her, she starts to split Elias into so many versions of him self. She then asks who he is, and after some back and forth and some excellent dialogue, he gives her a good answer.
 
A door opens up to a crystalline structure. Ashe is awake now, but her eyes are glowing.
 
We make our way through the hallway, but as some of us walk through we feel every bad feeling and regret we've ever felt. But as Cheten walks through her wings grow back. Some feel nothing. Some feel darkness.
 
Before Elias walks through, he takes his sword, Shimmer, and puts it at the feet of the sphinx as a symbolic gesture of removing himself from what it represented.
 
Ash tries go go through and is unable to. The sphynx then asks who she is. Ash talks about who she is RIGHT NOW, but then asks the sphynx who she is, and starts to go on about who Ashe thinks Gynathet is. Turns out she's got a boyfriend she hasn't seen for 1000 years. She's in servitude here and her boyfriend is guarding the weapons of light somewhere.
 
Malcanthet is her master- she's on the 570th layer of the abyss.
Andromite is her boyfriend's name
 
Gynathet gives Ash a staff that is the symbol of he rlove Andromite. She says it will guide us to him. Ash is the only person to ever ask her anything about herself. She writes a note to her boyfriend. Ash takes it and then is allowed to pass through. If we do go this way, we can get to the weapons of light.
 
Ash leaves Gynathet and we all carry on.
 
We decide to try and take a rest. We find a gigantic pot of liquid. Elias and Hyadyr levitate up to it and Hydyr decides to try and scoop some out. He is successful, but evaporates really fast....it's just disappearing really fast if it leaves the pot.
 
It doesn't seem to hurt him though. They decide to drink some and it actually heals them. WE drink from the other pot and we get our spell slots back and it treats us as if we've had a long rest. Woot Woot
 
We head up the stairs. It leads us to a really large and dark room. We hear the voice of the maiden of the moon. Cheten steps forward.
 
The voice says "Who are you" Cheten is like, I'm not doing this again.....just kidding
 
Cheten sees 4 dias appear. Each have an orb. One has a rock, the other has water, the other has swirling wind, and the last has fire. The voice asks which one are you? Cheten piks the rock, because she is stubborn and very hard to move. To pass, she must fight the guardian of earth.
 
Mummy's appear with a mummy Lord and Zozth himself. Zozth points his finger at Ash and power word kills her. She falls over dead.
 
Elias is enraged by this.
 
We start fighting. Panfyr goes down. We are getting our asses kicked so bad. The mummy lord teleports next to Franz and Elias blinding them for until the end of the mummy lord's next turn.

Glume disappears, and nobody knows where he went.
 
All the mummies go and this is where we end. Just after round 1. 3/4 mummies are befuddled
