Session 56: Hydyr kills his brother and we meet Mordenkainen

Hydr met his brother. They fight to the death and Hydr proves he was not the weakest in their tribe. His whole tribe is dead, and he's gotta try and save them from wherever they are at.
 
He's also got a crazy weapon now that sucks in blood and talks t ohim.
 
There is a village called Jura that has 4 death knights in it. Panfyr wants to try to take them out, but it would be very risky.
 
There is also a pyramid under New GAlvania somewhere, which is where the Magnuses may be getting their power from. Maybe if we try to find this, we can limit their power.
 
We talk about rallying the people of Jura as well as the prisoners in the twin cities to fight against the Magnuses. We have 15 werewolf allies who are going to scout ahead and try to find information about the underdark and the pyramid underneath. We will meet them down south later.
 
We get to Jura, and find a man named Mokeley, walking around. We learn Rackus, Sarckus, Glongul, and Lemar are in charge of this town. They are the death knights. They are called Jura Knights.
 
The people have nice buildings here, but they don't own anything. They eat when they can, but all animals belong to the Magnuses. Mokely pretends that the Jura Knights are good protectors and the Magnuses are good. It is obvious he is lying though.
 
The Jura Knights are off guarding the Magnuses. They are not here right now. They've gone to Balon Village. There a group of people called the Red Party. The Magnuses get together with them every once in a while and have a big party outside of their castle for a couple of days.
 
Mokely takes us to his home and we meet his wife Linda. Joe offers her some olive oil with thyme in it as a thank you for their hospitality. they don't have much., but offer to make us food.
 
They take us to Linda's brother's house as he is sick, and was supposed to be at the Red Party. Joe is able theal his disease and he feels better. HIs name is Derdrick.
 
We ask him about the Red Party, and he was hoping he could make it into the "inner circle" which he is not a part of. The "iinner circle" wears all white.
 
We talk to him about where an entrance to the underdark would be. A couple of years ago, there was a guy who came in and drank the blood of a bunch of people. After he drank, he turned back into a normal guy after that and acted as if nothing happened.
 
He talked about a palace- The Rake- He called himself The Beast.
 
Derdrick tells us he things The Beast lives in the underdark now. His name is Kanchelsis.
 
Derdrick tells us that the miners from the twin cities are being moved to a deeper part of the underdark. Rake has been attacking again---Rake is Kanchelsis.....but more evil.
 
The miners are intended to be sacrificed to the blood god. Ash recognizes Kanchelsis to fit the description of a Demon god. He's from a layer of the Beast and lives in a mansion of the Rake. On the 487th layer of the Abyss. a Wizard showed up to Ash's village one day and asked her sister to go on an adventure with him and told stories of this demon god, and she agreed. This wizard was Mordenkainan. Mrdenkaninan walks out at that moment.
 
He's here to ask a favor and hands us invitations to the Red Party. We have a long conversation with him. Ultimately if we go to that party, we can get information and also get a shard...a different shard than the one that we lost.
 
Elias looks in a crystal ball and sees his dad somewhere in the underdark. He's walking down a steep cliff ramp and there is glowing lichan everywhere. He sees a grell, and casts a spell and destroys it.
 
We talk to Mordenkainen about the destruction of the world, and we discuss why Asmodeus might want the demons to overrun hell and take over. He takes us to a bar so we can talk to him.
 
We learn he has supposedly left hell to be on vacation and giving up the ruby rod made that possible.
 
We leave and we are thinking about going to try and save the miners and as soon as we are ready, Mordenkainen will take us there immediately. He can take us to Anastas as well.

We decide to go to Anastas. He teleports us there and tells us that when we are ready to let him know and he'll get us to the party.
