Session 68: Saving the werewolves from the mindflayers

It is PanAelsh th 16th 1083 11pm
 
WE leave the pyramid and find ourselves in the Underdark.
 
Elias touched a symbol and met his great x10 grandmother, Akila. He asked if Akila knew any way to free Franz. She didn't. The rift didn't exist back the.
 
Turns out Franz had disappeared from the group with Mordenkainen and was with the other group for a while. He ended up getting a cure from Corellon as a favor to Lyra. He just has to drink it during summer or at the summer court in the feywild. This will cure his vampirism.
 
We get our long rest.
 
It's now PanAelsh the 17th 7am.
 
Franz went off to find some food. Fred ends up getting killed trying to sic some kind of prey that escaped franz at breakfast time. Turns out it's an intellect devourer. Panfyr sets up a trap to try and catch it.
 
GreyTres the werewolf found us in the cave. He lost his group. Says they went into the caves and never came back. We decide to help him find them. We walk through a village with gnomes and Rothe. Panfyr talks to the Rothe. We've never seen her be so sweet to something. The Rothe has seen a bunch of the brains walking around. He also described seeing what we would know as a mindflayer. The Roathe asks Panfyr if she could make sure nobody eats it, and Panfyr says she'll do her best.
 
As we walk around, we realize that all the folks here are being mind controlled. Franz talks to one and then everyone start looking at Franz and talking in a language we don't know.
 
Ash convinces the Mindflayers to take her and let the werewolves go. They tell her to go into the cave. However, it was all a lie and now we all have to fight. Ultimately, Ash ends up fighting a bunch of werewolves under mind control. The other fight some gnomes. We all kind of run and meet up. Elias lures the mindflayers out to come towards us. As we try to escape we become completely surrounded by gnomes.
 
Ash ends up using her metal ball repulsion thing to try and disarm a bunch of gnomes but it ends up causing sharp weapons to just fly everywhere severely injuring some folks and killing others. It was an accident. She uses Mass Cure Wounds to try and cure some of them. This does break them out of their mind control.
 
At that time the mindflayers start approaching. Elias and Franz try to create a cave in to stop them. The whole cave starts to fall a part. one mindflayer gets crushed. We start to hear murmurs behind us. People are waking up. We tell everyone to run. Ash jumps up in earth elemental form and holds the cave from falling on everyone. Franz saves Panfyr from getting crushed by a boulder.
 
We all escape. There were some casualties, but we did save most of them as well as the werewolves.
 
This is where we end. Right outside of the cave surounded by a bunch of confused werewolves and zerfneblin. We are escored out of the underdark by the survivors. We get back to town and take a long rest. We end having just woke up.
 
It's now PanAelsh the 18th 7am.
