Session 57: A trip to the hells and seeing our old friend Dermish

Ok, so we are in hell. We've been subpoenaed. The portals are not working, so we have to travel the long way. There is a rif here that mirrors the rift on the material plane. The devils are just barely able to hold the demons back.
 
We are with Vor, a friend of Dermish. We ran into him at the top of Tiamat's tower. This is where Fairtess ruled from. Who also looks a lot like Dermish's mom. Graazt is ruling here now. Fairtress is Pirate Petes patron, and also the patrons of the Salfanites.
 
Graazt is the one blocking use of the portal. We need to get to the 4th layer here.
 
Dermish is like, I'll just make him kneel. He doesn't know that Graazt is a demon. ahahahahaha.
 
Graazt is like, yeah, "you're gonna give me that ruby rod," or "I get Franz" We're like no way, and Dermish makes him kneel.
 
We then have to fight a bunch of demons. A couple of Glabrezu. WE kill one, and end up fight Grazzt. At one point, Ase stabs Graazt with the Paralysis magic breaking dagger. He falls through the floor. Ash misty steps towards him grabs on to the dagger. Isolde is there and grabs her father and all 3 of them disappear.
 
The other demons get scared and are like, "Don't kill us please"
 
Anyway, Ash and Isolde get into a fight over the dagger. Ash tries to fly away with him as a giant eagle, but Isolde defeats her and brings her back to her group.
 
The group are like, dude you gotta give us Ash and the dagger back. Isolde gives back Ash, probably because Franz has power over her. She jsut wants to know what happened to her dad. Franz is able to convince her to give the dagger back to us. Graazt is totally cut off from the weave and paralyzed.
 
We learn the dagger is very dangerous to paragons. If a paragon is stabbed by teh dagger, the stabber gains the powers of the stabee.
 
Since we've put Graazt out of commission, Elias suggests making Glycia the ruler of this level. Dermish agrees to it. Elias is able to commune with Glasya and she appears in front of him.
 
She's a little cranky, because she was sleeping. Dermish offers her the position to rule here as well as her own layer. She's like, No thanks. and suggests that he offer it to Dispater.
 
We go through the portal and leave IPT in charge of the portal.
 
We are in a castle and meet a fellow named Titivilis. Franz makes fun of his name, and Titivillus cuts off his pinkie for it. As Titivilis strokes the pinkie of Franz, Dermish offers for Dispater to rule the 1st layer as well.
 
Titivilis says he will deliver the message. Ash gives Titivilis a spare decayed finger she had in her bag seeing how much he loved Franz's finger. She then asks if he can help us get to the 4th layer.
 
He offers to escort us. He pays for a trip down the river stix.
 
While we travel, we learn that Titivilis loves to swim and would love to swim in crystal clear water and look at clouds and feel the sun on his skin. He's just too busy to get up to the material plane to do this.
 
He gives Joe a symbol to pray to dispater and if she prays, it will summon him.
 
Joe collects a vial of water from the river stix.
 
We drink some wine and find that it has gone rotten since being here. All of our food and drink is actually rotten here.
 
We take the boat to the next layer. Elias walks into a guy who recognizes him and confesses he use to torture his dad. He tells Elias that his dad is back with his mom in Laruemar and he has a crystal shard in his possession.
 
We get to Mammon's castle. We run into him rummaging through ties. He's the one who had us summoned here. He confronts Elias about their deal. Elias is like, dude, a goddess stepped in....I couldn't help it. Mammon is like, well you still owe me....and Elias is like, you aren't giving me power anymore.
 
Mammon pulls out the contract, Panfyr knows Infernal and is able to find a loophole in the contract that allows Elias to defer the payment to Mammon as long as you send notice. It has to be done a week before he is owed. As long as the note is sent the payment will be deferred.
 
Anyway, I guess the courts are waiting on us. Mammon says we need to tell the courts that the money that was dedicated was owned by Loadagraph. The money had to actually belong to Loadagraph to use it as payment, and it's the only way that Mammon can keep it. And he has to capture the Living Flame and put him back in the hells.
 
Joe and Ash are against lieing. mammon threatens to turn us all into larve. Titivilis is like, yeah no. there isn't 'gonna be any problem at all.
 
He vouches for us, because we are all friends.
 
Mammon is like, Fine. If you defeat The Living Flame. Franz is like you gotta give us some magical items. Franz breaks him down a bit and he starts to agree to give us 3 rare items now and 4 later. We hae two months to defeat the dragon, and if we don't do this, we owe him the magic items back and an additional magic item for each day it's late.
 
actually it becomes 100 years of labor.....I don't know. Joe also asks for a tuning fork to Averness.
 
 
Everyone except Ash and Elias accepts the deal. Everyone signs their contracts. They pick their weapons.
