Session 55:Motes of Shadow

I get here late. We are all in the druid tree. Franz made a check against Reginald. Any walls he had to protect himself and his family are gone, making him more vulnerable. This sounds very familiar to Panfyr, Elias, and Hydar. We decide to do a ritual to try to determine the nature of everyone's souls. Some guy named Greg is going to do the ritual for us.
 
I'ts CorellonEmber 3rd about 12pm
 
We meditate around a fire. Greg walks Panfyr through a situation where she is in the underdark and she is being mistreated by a dark gnome. We don't see any motes of darkness though, so I guess it's all good.
 
Then we see Franz on a boat with the Magnuses and they are wanting to eat him and then they kill his parents. Then we see Franz with Blackwood and Morpheus, and Morpheus gets turned to Ash, BUT there is no mote of darkness around him.
 
Ashe is able to sense darkness form somewhere and sense everyone's deepest darkest secrets.
 
We then see Hydar. He's in the Wasteland of Woe. He was sent by the deknightens to die in the dessert. One deknighten tried to help him, but he was not successful in fulfilling his quest. The orcs rejected him. He was raised by barbarian humans. He's never really fit in and never been a part of anything. He's lonely and severely bullied by other children deknightens who tried to kill him.
 
We do not detect any mote of darkness around him
 
We see Ash feeling alone and abandoned by her sister/family, because they were always going off on adventures. Ash talks to gloom trying to get gloom to go off and be free, but deep down she's trying to send people away so they can't leave her first.
 
But there is not mote of darkness
 
We then see Elias with his mom. He's living a life of crime trying to pay the debt. His mom knows he's doing these things, but he doesn't know know shes doing it. Elias gets roped into murdering a guy, and he's stealing and pickpocketing, and everytime he does this, the thinks my father abandoned me and could have stopped this.
 
Then we see him meeting his dad and uncle for the first time.
 
Yet there is no mote of darkness around him.
 
We then see Eloi. He's hanging out with Morpheus, his young brother. Morpheus is talking about going to Eldoria on an adventure. His mom, Arud, a pirate and leader of the resolution. Eloi decides he doesn't want to be here and goes back to Ferun. HE goes to Adenazeal. He's getting into the priest hood and they know that he is a descendent from Remish making him a possible Paragon. All descendents of the Paragon have special powers. Eloi has the power of divination. He could see everything into the future.
 
There is a new regent named Thandius with a daughter named Vesta. Eloi is abscessed with Vesta and he uses his powers of divination to try and get with Vesta. He's using his powers to manipulate everything and makes it happen. They get together but she eventually doubts the relationship and leaves him. He hands over his powers to her so she can see how much he cares about her, and she leaves him anyway with his power.
 
There are motes of darkness around him. It's Elloi!
 
We try to tell him that he is shrouded, but he doesn't see it.
 
Greg tells us we can use Eloi to get to the shadowfell, but it is incredibly dangerous.
 
Eloi agrees to do it. We take a long rest.
 
I'ts CorellonEmber the 4th.
 
Greg brings us some breakfast.
 
Eloi, in secret gives Ash a special dagger that if it nics your skin it will cause you to be paralyzed and completely cut off from teh weave. He asks Ash not to tell the others. She wraps it in a cloth and puts it in her bag.
 
Greg casts the ritual and we enter the shadowfell.
 
While walking through we see a temple of the RavenQueen and we run into a grey elf...the one we met who helped us free Andromeda from the fuge plane a long time ago.
 
When he sees Elias, he is like "oh yeah, someone needs you" and touches him and Elias poofs away. Ash makes a stink about it, so he sends everyone else accept for Haydr. Haydr goes on a tour of the temple, and then he gets sent to hell where his friends are.
 
WE are all in the pleasure garden. WE meet an old friend of Elias's named Carol. She's a very large beautiful succubus. We learn that Dermish is running the hells into the ground and the demons are almost taking over Avernus. It's terrible.
 
Glycia approaches us. She's missed Elias a lot. She basically is jealous that he is serving Selune now and he offers to become his patron, which of course he accepts. Because, why wouldn't he?
 
She helps us get back to the shadowfell. WE get there and we see the chieften in a normal form with 12 other barbarians praying around a pool of water. They are praying to a god named Tempus. Tempus is a god of war.
 
Haydr is able to tell us that they are preparing to fight the magnuses. This seems to be a scene from the past. Like a memory. Elias remembers that there were 12 tombs at the foot of the mountain. this may be Stobri's people.
 
Haydr throws a rock in the water which they respond to. We realize they are aware, even if they are a memory. Haydr approaches them and they ask what tribe he is from. They invite him to join their prayer to Tempus.
 
Ash is able to determine that we are stuck in a memory bauble of the Raven Queen. But why?
 
We decide that maybe we are here and can't really control what happens because it'a already happen. Maybe the best we can do is observe and try to learn something from it.
 
The barbarians are going to attack the Magnuses tonight. Hydr asks if he can bring his friends to help and they allow it.
As we start to march with them, but then get poofed out of the memory.
 
It's the grey elf. He shows us what happens next. It's terrible. The barbarians are being destroyed and turned into Bodaks. We see a pyramid underground with a bunch of drow. It looks like the drow are in league with the Magnuses and actually helped carved the symbols on the barbarians.
 
We talk about possibly turning the drow houses against each other. But first we have to deal with the chieftain.
 
this gray elf gives us a feather that will take us to the Chieftain. When the chieftain was defeated by the Magnuses, he went to the Fuge plane. He was enslaved by Orcus since his soul was sacrificed to Orcus.
 
Anyways, we finally get lead to the Chieftain spirit.
 
We fight him and he's in the form of a night walker. When he dies, a woman's spirit flies down and grabs his spirit. They head to the Fuge Plane to meet with Tempus.
 
Also, the little girl, Stobri walks up and she's not a Bodak anymore. She is free. She tells us she believes we will be able to beaat Orcus...whom we seem to have garnered the attention.
 
The motes of shadow around Eloi are now gone. His walls are torn down though.
