Characteristics

Mental traits

Trillium is known for her unwavering dedication to the ideology of the Circle of Wildfire: destruction is sometimes the precursor to creation. To her, nature can only rise anew after the destruction of what currently exists. This belief fuels her fierce determination and unwavering resolve to uphold this precept and ensure the balance of the natural world.

History

Genesis

Trillium's journey began in a small elven town nestled within the lush Elven Forest. Initially an acolyte of Selune, the goddess of the moon, her connection to nature led her to follow the path of the druid, specifically the teachings of the Circle of Wildfire. It was during her training that she developed a deep admiration for Fandral Staghelm, the renowned Archdruid.

Rebel

In pursuit of her strong convictions, she joined the Elven Rebels, finding alignment between their cause and her own goals. As a member of the rebels, she advocated for an expedition to rescue Fandral from captivity. Her proposal was initially rejected until a group of adventurers embarked on a quest to unlock the secrets of ancient elven portals hidden within the Wood of the Vales.   While the adventurers were on their quest, Trillium and Etha worked diligently to orchestrate Fandral's escape. After Fandral's liberation and the adventurers' return, Trillium was entrusted with a crucial mission: to serve as a scout in the elemental plane of fire, where she would investigate the behavior of the Phoenix, the rebels' next target.

Fire Giant

While investigating the phoenix, she was observed by a Fire Giant named Whaska who new of the phoenix recent corruption by the rebels. When the adventurers reach her, she reveals that her mission has drawn unwanted attention, specifically from Whaska.   Returning to the inn with Trillium after they killed the giant, tensions rise as the party confronts her about the circumstances leading to the phoenix corruption. She explains that she was only recently sent to the plane of fire, as she was occupied with assisting Ethan in freeing Fandral when the adventurers returned to Toriel. Trillium, shares the history of elves being attacked and subdued by humans a millennium ago. To her, and many others, achieving peace requires a power strong enough to both combat the empire and deter future attacks.   Despite the growing extreme of the rebels' plans, the adventurers remain curious about the corruption of the phoenix. Jade, feeling a strong attraction to the plane of fire, persuade the party to seek the phoenix.

Ashes

Due to its corruption, the phoenix refuses to listen and fiercely attacks the party, leading to a perilous battle. Orianna and Nep suffer severe burns, bearing scars from the encounter, while Galad rushes to protect and heal his companions. Meanwhile, Jade's powers appear to surge uncontrollably.   In a vicious attack, the phoenix engulfs Jade in flames, piercing her heart with its talons. The phoenix is then finally defeated, turning to ashes. As the party despairs over the loss of their friend, a flame emerges from the hole in Jade's chest. Her heart blazes with fire, and she opens her eyes again, revived with the power of the phoenix. The power of the phoenix now resides in Jade's heart, destined to grow too powerful for a human form. In the years to come, she will burst into flames and transform into the spirit of fire.
Trillium, witnessing this miracle, is shaken in her beliefs. Previously devoted to Fandral, she now stands before the human form of the phoenix—a being equal to gods in many regards. Overwhelmed, Trillium begins to reveal everything she knows to the adventurers. The corruption of the phoenix was a result of the previous scouting party's attempt to magically corrupt and dominate it. When the plan failed, the rebels hoped the party would either bring back the phoenix or perish in their attempt. Fandral, a powerful archdruid of the Circle of Wildfire, believes in the cleansing power of fire, advocating for the burning of Tana's Empire and every last human and part of their territory for the elves to be truly freed.

Confrontation

The party returns to the portal with their new ally Trillium to confront Fandral, Valia, Vari, and the rebels. However, upon crossing the portal and reappearing on the material plane, they realize that Nep is missing, even though she crossed the portal with the rest of the group.   A fierce battle erupts, with the rebels attempting to eliminate the adventurers, oblivious to the fact that Jade has now become the Phoenix they seek to dominate. Evandor allies with the adventurers, alongside Lea and Trillium.   In the skirmish, Evandor, Trillium, and Lea engage the other rebels, preventing them from overwhelming the party. Meanwhile, Galad, Faust, Jade, Orianna, and Marilith confront the three rebel leaders and Ethan. During the chaos, Ethan targets Trillium, disrupting her ability to restrain the remaining rebels and leaving the adventurers vulnerable to attacks from behind.   As the battle takes a turn for the worse, Valia, in a desperate act, attacks the portal, triggering a magical explosion that teleports everyone in its vicinity across worlds and planes.

The rift

In the aftermath, only Faust, Jade, Lea, and Trillium remain within the base, each bearing severe wounds. On the ground lies the lifeless body of Evandor, Ethan and countless other rebels. The diminished group, still reeling from the loss, has little time to mourn their fallen comrade.   Amidst the wreckage, the collapsed portal room emits an enigmatic power. A substantial rift forms, drawing in the ruins of the room and releasing fiery elementals into the surroundings.   Trillium find herself dealing with the rift alongside the adventures who were not teleported by the portal's explosion. The recent battle's commotion attracted the attention of the Sister of the Vales, prompting Reyth to visit the adventurers.   Observing the devastation on the battlefield and the opened rift, Reyth, recognized the imminent danger. Stepping forward, he confronted the rift, unleashing his power to contain it and turning into his true green dragon form. Despite Reyth's valiant efforts, countless elementals continued to emerge not only underground but also throughout the forest and the surrounding region, sowing chaos and fire in the empire. The Kingdom of Vale and Kingdom -o Qwir, in particular, were heavily affected.

At the edge of the forest

Tana's empire army swiftly mobilized, gathering soldiers from the Kingdom of Vale, the Duchy of Freed, and the Kingdom of Qwir. The united forces marched towards the Wood of the Vale, as magicians pinpointed the source of the problem in that location.   Empire spies had gathered comprehensive information about the rebels, leading the imperial forces to focus their efforts on rooting out and eliminating the insurgents in the forest. The siege on the forest commenced, with the imperial army encircling the area. Without Reyth's formidable power to counter them, facing the combined might of the army, with only the adventurers, Trillium and the green enchantress, proved to be an arduous task.   The adventurers secured an audience with Lewis von Verurteilung and other military commanders. The interview sheds light on the rebels' perspective, alerting the army to the imminent danger they pose. The revelation and ensuing discussion shift the army approach that march to Megima.

Flames and Elves

Seizing the opportunity presented by the army's mobilization, the rebels have launched an attack on the Elven capital with the intent to seize the throne and control over the elven kingdom. Faced with the difficulty of combating the empire as rebels, their new strategy involves vying for power as a kingdom. The city is now in chaos, with flames engulfing it as the rebels specifically target the castle where Queen Manael Soliadon Tana reigns.   The elves, supported by the rebels, initiated an assault on the Megima, burning it in their attempt to breach the castle. Queen Manael was forced to open the doors, letting the rebels inside as the city succumbs to flames to prevent further damage to the civilians. With chaos reigning in the streets, the adventurers, now face a burning city and an uncertain situation within the castle, press forward.   Trillium follows the adventurers, but as they dodge falling debris and rush into the castle, the debris locking them inside, Trillium decide to focus on controlling the flames engulfing the city, preventing the fire from reaching more buildings, and burning innocents.

A new kingdom

When the adventurers come out of the castle, they are victoriuous, but Queen Manael is dead. The Kingdom -o Qwir faced the urgent need for independence from the empire. The elves, having suffered enough under imperial rule, were eager to break free.   In the days that followed, the reconstruction of Megima commenced, and Galad is crowned as the new king of he elves while Trillium stepped into the role of the new court wizard.
