Gamma Altan System
An A Class Star located in the Ilioneus galaxy.
The Gamma Altan system is most notable for its planet, Tehines, which is a Shellworld which is at a very large radius from the star itself, and as such would normally be very cold.
The system also contains a large amount of other planets however, and is home to many stations, habitats and various mining equipment. There are also various other structures, like defence platforms, data centers.
Although the Gamma Altan System lies within Yunkad Coalition space, it is primarily other races that inhabit it; the system has a surprisingly low Yunkad population. Due to the very large semi-major axis of Tehines, that world takes a long time to orbit the parent star. If life extension technology did not exist, a Tehinian new year would be a once in a lifetime event for most species. As such, they use the universally adopted new year date by the HF itself. They still also have a seperate holiday for the Tehinian new year. The Gamma Altan system also has a non-shellworld habitable planet, Gamma Altan IV. This planet has a lower population because it is far less well known than the nearby shellworld, which can very easily attract tourists. The system is also home to a number of habitation stations and shipyards designed to produce and maintain ships. This makes the system quite well defended, especially the shellworld, which is the most valuable planet in the system.
