Tehines
A Shellworld constructed and populated by the Hyperion Federation. Tehines was a very cold world, far away from its parent star. It has been made habitable by a perpetually rotating, ultrabright light that follows a track around the circumference of the inside of the shellworld and simulates a day - night cycle.
It has 2 power stations on each pole of the world. Both poles have large supporting pillars, as well as superconductors which supply power from the power stations up to the shellworld. To produce so much power, the HF has a large number of Planck-Dismantlement Beams on the power stations that harvests massive amounts of energy from waste matter. These are located on the 2 poles of the planet. They also have a backup antimatter annihilation core.
It is located in the Gamma Altan System.
Tehines was selected because it was comparatively large compared to most rocky solid planets. This would allow the Hyperion Federation to hollow it out as well as use Graviton Wave Refraction to reduce the gravity of the planet, and give them a lot of options for expansion. Indeed, the planet has expanded to the underground and now has a population well into the trillions. Due to this, it can also be classified a small eucenopolis planet, where a single city spans most of the world. However there are still a number of areas that dont have cities constructed yet.
There used to be a number of mountains on the world before it had a shellworld built around it. These have been dismantled and turned into matter plasma to help build the shellworld, and those same efforts would contribute to making the planet flat and easier to build on. Although more modern technology rarely produces pollution, such a large amount of it is likely to ruin the worlds atmosphere. To this end, they have constructed large atmosphere filters on the interior of the shell, and provide breathable air for the inhabitants below. These require a lot of power to operate, but the pollution it receives is collected and sent to the Planck-Dismantlement Beam poles. This is a net gain in terms of energy generation.
