Resolutions and Reading 2025
Review
As I reflect on 2024, I’m struck by what an incredible year it’s been for my writing journey. Although I’ve had this account for quite a while, I only truly began using it in the fall of 2023. Over the past year, I feel like I’ve accomplished most of the goals I set for myself, especially in my writing. I delved into topics like beasts, flora, and recipes, and I’m genuinely proud of the progress I’ve made.
I was disappointed that I didn’t create as much artwork to complement my pieces as I had hoped. Moving forward, I plan to dedicate more time to making art that pairs with my writing. I enjoyed feedback from my peers in the community and reading their articles. Being featured in The Spice of Life: Gruzzo's Kitchen of Wonders was awesome Blackberry Tart is linked further down befow! I enjoyed writing my entry for The Great Tree's Unofficial Challenge: Reverie , it prompted me to delve further into the character Lady Sanguine. Another unofficial challenge that I delighted in was Grand Celebrations. I wrote about a wishmaking celebration it was magical.

The Rince na Oidhche was truly enchanting. I loved the vivid imagery of the Night Court of the Fae and their mesmerizing dance with the humans of Fennell. I could almost hear the music and envision the beauty of their final embrace. The history behind the event was equally captivating, adding depth to the story. I’m also thrilled that Demon Grey included links to all the associated articles—it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to explore more about the characters and places they’ve brought to life.
This article about Life’s Gift describes it as unique. The spear’s simplicity, contrasted with its extraordinary abilities, is fascinating. The balance between immortality and the divine is captivating. I loved the imagery used in the writing of the story.
I love how Oneiria is formed; its unique setting is truly captivating. The addition of floating islands enhances the dreamlike nature of the location, making it feel otherworldly and surreal. The concept of reaching these places through dreams is fantastic, adding an inspiring and creative touch that made it a joy to read about.

The concept of Skyforged is beautifully crafted, blending honor, transformation, and rich tradition. The ceremonial Windsweeping and the integration of Nýfada sigils add a mystical touch, while Aevaris Dawnspire’s legend perfectly encapsulates the title’s valor and significance. A truly inspiring and memorable creation!
This article was really unique for me. I have vitiligo, which is a rare condition, so I drew some parallels between the loss of pigmentation in my own life and the way it was portrayed in the writing. It was fascinating to read how this theme was explored in relation to vampires.

I really enjoyed reading the background information on this character. The way it opened, setting the tone for how feared De Luca the Dreaded was, was captivating. It also made me think about my own pirate island and the dynamics I’ve created there and Lady Sanguine
The opening of this article and the descriptions of how things unfold in the city were fascinating. The use of the timeline and the way it was introduced really brought it to life for me. It’s inspired me to go back and redraft some of my starting islands from the Veil.

I had so much fun reading this! I love the idea of giant fire slugs—it made me picture them in a garden, torching the cabbages. I also wondered if they would still drink beer like regular garden slugs do. I found it incredibly imaginative, and it reminded me that creativity and inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. The opening description about slugs was spot-on!

This article had such vivid imagery. What really stuck with me was the part about wrapping the wings around those who still had them and tilting their heads toward the sky—it was deeply moving. The art created by the author was also amazing and added so much to the experience.
Resolutions
I plan to focus on creating more art and writing even more! I have a few articles I’m excited to develop further, based on pieces I started during World Ember—like Stormer Swine, Gorefang Rabbits, and Iron Fang Wolfhounds. I also want to dive deeper into writing about Lady Sanguine and Princess Eclaire.
Here are some Articles I enjoyed writing during World Ember
