Lemoros
Geography
Lemoros lies to the northwest of the Egaratib mountain range. About two thirds in the east of the country are covered in lush jungles while the western third is defined by flat lands and large lakes of brackish water.
Ecosystem
The tide regularly washes over the eastern lands, bringing in saltwater from the ocean and flushing out nutrients from the soil. Consequently, life has adapted to the frequent floodings. Plants specialize in extracting minerals from the brackish water and their roots reach deep into the solid ground below the mud. Animals are either semi-aquatic or living in the tree tops. Fully aquatic animals are rare, due to the risk of being stranded on land when the tide rolls out.
Natural Resources
Both the jungle and submerged lands are home to countless edible plants and animals. Many plant species from the jungle lands are popular spices or perfume ingredients throughout the Pereqaian alliance. There are also numerous animal species which are known predominantly for their beauty and exported as exotic pets.
