Challenge articles
I love the World Anvil challenges! ^_^ This is a list of all my past challege entries!
This was a fun challege for me, because I got to write about a historical culture that is very important for my main story, and their culture is literally build on the shoulders of the Giants, that ruled over Salan during that time.
Even though the river is one of my oldest planned geographical locations, I had not written a proper article about it before! I loved the challenge because it gave me a chance to write about many details that affect the daily life of my characters in the region.

Special challenges
These are my special challenge entries, in a chronological order, with some reflections on the challenge.Bestiary February 2023
Book of the Demons
The book of the Demons is a Tašalian clerical manuscript, that lists their main gods, and illustrates their characteristics by comparing them with animals with the same characteristics.
I used the challenge to elaborate on the new Tašalian culture, that I started to develop during the World Ember.
I especially enjoyed the conlanging aspect, and the illustrations. I hadn't drawn animals for a long time, so it was nice to try my hands in that, and find the courage to do and share some very quick and less polished art! I also made deep-dives looking into actual historical bestiaries which was cool.

On the Shoulders of Giants
Wanderers
The Wanderers are the main people of the legendary Time of Wander. They are the Heroes of the ancient myths, and the most later people's of Salan trace their origins from them, making them very influential in the later eras of my world.

Rivers and Waterways
Farinos (Silver Stream)
Farinos is the largest river flowing through the plains of Farensal. The river is the lifegiver to the whole population of the region, and also the main mode of transport in my world, flowing through all of the most important cities.

The Bardic Challenge 2022
Ván of Sankai
Ván of Sankai was a composer end epic poet, remembered for revolutionising the understanding of the early Faren music, and popularising the Saial Memory Songs in the lowlands.

The challenge gave me an opportunity to approach my story in a completely new perspective. I am writing about the half-mythological heroes Daursan and Kauteirin, but now my perspective was on how they would be remembered by the later ages, who wrote down their stories, and how their personal life experiences would affect how they told the story.
