The eldest child of ser Tacy and Antorn Slaite, Elton earned his knighthood Squiring for ser Natari Bailer. When it became clear that ser Elton would not content himself with sitting within The Shale, ser Natari Swore Her Sword to his service and he rode to the capital to join Sola's Vanguard.
Ser Elton rode with the Vanguard against The Irogonie Aggression in 440KS. In 441KS, when word of the brewing trouble in The Hayford Duchy prompted ser Sola Somercrag to once again ride out to intervene ser Elton was amongst those knights who travelled with her. He then followed ser Tyon Cray into The Revolution of 441KS.
At Tourney at Southbay 443KS ser Elton made a connection with ser Orestina Halch, a former member of ser Dominic Winthrop's Foot Knights, and invited her to return to The Shale with him to begin courting.
