Summary
POV character for Book 1: Rituals of Blood and Power. Annabelle grew up in an orphanage in the Estate of Arianie until she was 15 and she discovered her inheritance as the last surviving heiress of Estate of Alyssenne. To survive Dark Lord Véridice Lyrienne's attempt to destroy her House, she raised the full wards of her Estate for 10 years, isolating them from the external world and giving her the time to learn what she could. At 25, she is now ready to take her seat in the senate and she is now attempting to find powerful allies as soon as possible so that she can survive the coming war. She is hopeful that starting Courtship Rituals will give her a last delay for the year they will last, as well as encourage her fellow lords and ladies to other her alliances. Character: She is attempting to behave as a proper lady but she is afraid to assert herself against the opinions of her advisors and potential allies as this could push them away from her. Conflict: Survive while dealing with the brewing war between the Light and the Dark political factions, reestablish the place of House Alyssenne in the Light alliance, and rule in a way that satisfy her people who do not appreciate the consequences of all this political turmoil and having been cut from all contact with the external world for 10 years.General information
