Arianie is located in the top North of the empire, it is a coastal Estate and its capital city - also named Arianie - is where the chambers of the imperial senate are located. It is the main port of the empire and has very strong trade relations with the nearby Northern Islands.

History

The Estate of Arianie used to be ruled by the House of Arianie, one of the most powerful Houses of the empire and the leader of the Northern coalition. They were bitter enemies of the Houses of Alyssenne and Lyrienne. After the peace was made and both sides were united into one empire, Arianie obtained the concession that the senate chambers would be located in its Estate. While the House still lived, the peace stayed very precarious and quarrels constantly occurred.
Since the House has gone extinct, the Estate has been directly ruled by the imperial government. Greater peace has been achieve without the antagonistic relations between the Houses of Arianie, Alyssenne and Lyrienne. Nevertheless, to guarantee the safety of the members of the senate and to avoid any new war breaking out, any strong displays of magic are forbidden in Arianie.
Today, the Estate of Arianie is well known for the quality of its education for all its citizens and the opportunity for enrichment and social advancement that it offers. It hosts the very magnificent libraries of the senate and of the government. The Arianian language used to be spoken in the Estate and was considered to be the language of diplomacy in the region. Even if it is now extinct, numerous books written in the language can still be found in the libraries.
