Éldorine Alyssenne

Heiress Éldorine Alyssenne is the only daughter and heiress of Lord Alyssenne, one of the two leaders of the southern coalition in the war that is ravaging the continent. She helps her father take care of the Estate of Alyssenne and lead the coalition by taking care of some of the politics and socialising necessary to maintain the alliance.
She is the youngest member of her generation of the family, and so her status as heiress has the potential to be contested if Lord Alyssenne dies anytime soon.
Éldorine is a serious and responsible woman who like all Alyssenne loves experimenting with magic. She is also very self assured and know what she wants. Which is certainly not for her neighbour, Heir Lyrienne, to bother her once again with one of his scheme!

Heir Lyrienne

Heir Lyrienne is the unique son and heir of Lady Lyrienne, the other leader of the southern coalition. Just like Éldorine with her father, he helps his mother rule the Estate of Lyrienne (see Other Estates) and lead the coalition.
However, Heir Lyrienne is chaffing at his lack of independence from his mother. Since he likes her too much to kill her to take her place—and she is far too competent to make this easy—he is often resorting to rash schemes to prove his own skills and competence. The latest such actions is what led to the events of the short Story: Deathly Flowers.
According to Éldorine, Heir Lyrienne is insuferably smug. He also has a particular affection for her and for frustrating her by implicating her in his schemes...
