Sunspire Arcology
The sunspire arcology is a massive tunnel system that was developed in a time of crisis after the Ancient Halflings were warned by their God Arvo that a great cataclism was coming and they needed to retreat underground. They dug deep to fit their civilization in the deep, some say too deep.
In later years the sunspire breached the surface with an artificial quartz-like spire that is also a sunroom. The high priestess of Brigid decided that more access to sunlight was needed for the mental well-being of the people. Depending on their needs, people now can gain access to sunlight once or more a week. Those who work in the sunroom gardens or in the outer farms get more than others.

Architecture
They have a unique style of building in the arcology, it was created by Roman Mayson. There are many vaulted tunnels and ceilings, tiled mosaics, brickwork, and friezes. Much of the artwork was a representation of the aboveground world. Some areas even have various plants, even trees planted to keep people's hopes up.
It is a marvel of engineering that was worked on by many engineers, but most of the best work was designed and overseen by Roman Mayson. He was inspired in his work by Brigid, Goddess of Creativity. The tunnels dug in the first decades were all designed by him or his apprentices, in later years other architects took over for the more utilitarian work.
