These People.

by August

Ahh.... What to make of these folks, hmm? They're interesting, to be sure. Best to organize my thoughts about them somewhere; ensure I can keep a steady head about this whole thing we appear to have going right now.

Adria; powerful, impressive, and straight-forward from what I’ve seen. I appreciate what it is that she's brought to the group, even if my first impressions of her were quite intimidating due to her unique shifting ability. That is something I shall ask about again at some point. Hopefully I won’t piss her off, lest my head be removed, even if she currently doesn't seem the type.

Xerrakir; what an absolute character. Again, an honest man, apparently very friendly, and a stand-out figure for sure. He eats *quite* a bit more than I have ever seen anyone eat, and that is impressive. Seems to know a thing or two about honest work, which is a nice change of pace.

Kes; upfront, forward, and yet I feel like they have much more to tell than this surface level glance has afforded me. I don’t really know where it is that their skills start and stop, but it certainly seems like they are willing to do what needs to be done. Who knows, however, what time will tell of this one.

Isaac; smart, honest, inventive, and very quick to anger. I’m glad that my first meeting with him was a good one, as I would hate to have been on the receiving end of a blast of his magical abilities. Most of the people we’ve met speak highly of him, which is telling, so maybe it was a moment of weakness. If nothing else, his inventiveness is incredible; I wonder how grand a scope he could manage.

Eversong; strong, wise in a way I’ve not seen before, and quick to defend her partner. She talks of fate like it’s predetermined and could be read by the stars; I wonder what it is she’d find if she went looking. She hides her face, but is upfront about her home - that, if anything, I can appreciate, so whatever secrets she hides under her veil are hers to tell. Still, I cannot help but wonder why she hides, who from, and what danger that poses.

Tear; quiet yet bold, smart, simple, and uniquely interesting. I have never before had someone talk so casually in my head, and while it is distinct I appreciate how he doesn’t hide such an individual ability. A form of upfront honesty, which is always good. Says he prefers peace rather than violence, which I appreciate, though I hope his actions meet his words, as we’re fifty-fifty on that front, now.

I hope that whatever it is that we have going proves fruitful. It’d be easier to travel and explore as a group than alone, even if they do end up putting the spotlight on us every now and again.
