Well.
It appears that when they say “you reap what you sow”, that is not limited to only negative outcomes. Who knew?
In exploring the city today, on the lookout information, we came across an arena where combative ventures take place. The first and only match we watched was a duel between an elven woman named Bran, and a rabbitfolk man named Nova who, after swiftly striking his opponent with a rain of fireballs and burning hands, stared our group down after the match with marked intent. We left our stand to meet the man and he apparently wants to take part in our destruction of this “hunt” that we have found ourselves embroiled in. Considering our lack of numbers right now, that is definitely appreciated. But, well, perhaps my initial judgement is misguided but he is definitely very forward with his confidence. He left zero doubt about wanting to end his fight with Bran swiftly and efficiently, and… Depending on his outlook with regards to getting results fast, that *could* be a great boon to us. This group has a penchant for sitting on it’s heels, so if we have one more who can take decisive action quickly? That surely can only be a good thing.
There is definitely something else there. His confidence was one thing, but the way he dealt the final blow to that woman was… Extreme. The words he used afterwards, as well? I’m not sure. It is not just the story you tell but how you tell it, and while the short story we’ve heard is nothing extraordinary, the storyteller makes it that much more.
This will be interesting, to say the least.
