Void Front
The Void Front is a loose alliance of Pact-aligned military forces led by Riyo Tagadi. Based in the Horizon's End heliosphere, the Void Front has fought several successful actions against Unitas-affiliated forces, including Benteng Persadan Enforcement Operations and Aggressive Interventions. The Void Front is one of the few Pact forces that regularly conducts operations outside its home heliosphere, thanks to its strong logistics and political connections across the Hundred Suns.
The Void Front’s battlefield doctrine emphasizes irregular warfare, including collaborating with local paramilitary and militia groups to collect intelligence, mitigate logistical challenges, and harass enemy forces. In direct combat, the Void Front relies on fast-moving, aggressive Rakke Exo-Rigs adapted for ground and space engagements, supported by more heavily armed Kulaqs. Void Front troops are generally highly motivated, though the Front’s loose training regimen often means that support troopers rely on competent, decisive leadership at the squad level.
The Void Front enjoys widespread support from Accord-aligned heliospheres, including Kish and Khau’s Haven. This is partly due to the Front’s well-developed propaganda machine, which paints its battles as part of a selfless crusade against Hegemony. However, factions such as the Nowak Federation have claimed that the Void Front’s true aim is not the preservation of self-determination and autonomy, but “an endless war against anyone it can portray as a stooge of Unitas, which will ensure the Void Front’s perpetual necessity and funding.”
Recently, the Tanigara Report has claimed that Void Front’s wide operational area and significant funding is partly due to unpublicized partnerships with pirate groups (who serve in naval and marine roles), arms dealers (who profit from arming the Front’s local auxiliaries), and smugglers (who provide logistical support). Part III of the report details how the Void Front extracts “donations” of cash, resources, and zeos from neutral planets and organizations, with the implicit threat that refusal will result in attacks or blockades by ostensibly “unaffiliated” raiders (who are later shown to be under Void Front command). Void Front spokespeople have vehemently denied the claims of the Tanigara Report and claim that it was commissioned to discredit Void Front’s efforts to uphold Accord ideals.
