Mila Bauer
Mila Bauer is a Rakke pilot, Expedition Leader, and Senior Acquisitions Officer of Kentaro Upcycling, where she specializes in carrying out salvaging operations in high-risk and hot-zone environments, especially warzones. Bauer has been characterized by Pact authorities as “shrewd, opportunistic, and reckless” due to her willingness to flaunt local laws and rules of war in order to seize damaged, abandoned, or cached equipment directly from the battlefield.
Often referred to as a “vulture,” Bauer embodies Kentaro Upcycling’s philosophy toward “salvaging,” which veers closer to theft: Bauer and her team lurk around the edges of battlefields, often disguised as civilians or neutral third parties, and wait for the fighting to conclude. After one or both sides retreat, Bauer leads her team onto the field to seize any zeos, structures, weapons, or equipment left behind. Allegedly, Bauer’s team has been spotted looting supply caches and rear-echelon depots while disguised as friendly forces.
In battle, Bauer is reportedly an adaptive and unorthodox combatant, preferring to use ambushes and distraction to close the distance and rip apart targets with melee weapons, such as the fusion razor. Bauer is a proficient engineer and is more than capable of performing battlefield repairs on her own zeo and her team’s equipment. Pact militants that have interacted with Bauer directly describe her as gregarious, confident, and a smooth talker. However, prolonged, high-risk operations have left Bauer with many scars, burns, and lesions due to exposure to radiation, gunfire, and shrapnel.
