Ron Cho’s Honchos
Ron Cho’s Honchos are a diverse group of mercenaries and reprobates immortalized in oral history and cheap-and-cheerful entertainments within the Faris heliosphere (and others). Their eponymous leader, Ron Cho, has attained near-mythic status as the only person to have successfully escaped a bodylock facility.
They have an estimated 10-20 members. Potted biographies of the five most well-known Honchos have been assembled from interviews, reports, and other corroborated media:
Juan Felipe “JF” Anenokoji. Artist. Businessman. “Face” man. Quiet driver of the Honcho cottage industry. Convicted drug dealer. A sizable portion of Honcho funding is believed to come from likeness and life rights sales to entertainment companies in neighboring heliospheres. Makes a cameo as “Lothario #1” in Honchos On Patrol.
Dr Hazem J. Day. Disgraced former member of a Unitas thinktank. Geneticist. Enzymologist. Psychologist. Hypnotist. Political historian. Occultist. The strategic mind of the outfit and a man of distinctive tastes. Has family on Faris-IV. His texts on glycan manipulation via novel enzyme application are syllabus standards in many heliospheres. He remains in occasional contact with a devil cult he founded in university, though this seems driven mostly by nostalgia.
Leroy “Twitch” Minkus. Disbarred dentist turned medic. Served 7 years for malpractice. Reluctant to talk about this experience; insists he was the victim of a technicality. Risk-averse. Divorced. Has a daughter he lost contact with while in prison.
Lisa “Chop” Cen. Pilot. Virtuoso violinist. Scion of a small manufacturing empire. Abandoned her birthright to do something “important.” Estranged from her parents, but still communicates with her twin brother, Lanier Cen. These communiques are not reciprocated.
Zivko Li. War veteran. Pact. Once hunted by Cho’s former unit. Since joining the Honchos, has prioritized his own interests over the group’s just as often as he has risked his life for his compatriots. Enigmatic, fearless, and pragmatic.
They remain at large, operating within Faris from “The Outrunner”: their modified heavy slipship.
