Codename RED SHIFT
Codename “RED SHIFT” (also known as “Red” by various counterintelligence agencies) is a Rakke pilot, spy, and saboteur associated with the Void Front. Their real name, appearance, age, and planet of origin are unknown, though rumors abound that they are a former GuardCorps zeo pilot that has defected. Regardless, they have been implicated in several mass-casualty events, including the destruction of arco-spheres on Testyril and the catastrophic explosion of the Zestar Orbital Mining Rig.
According to GuardCorps internal communications, RED SHIFT’s usual modus operandi involves infiltrating facilities under the guise of a friendly Rakke pilot, usually with stolen credentials showing them to be a maintenance worker or engineer. Once inside a facility, RED SHIFT may stay dormant for days or weeks while learning the routines, personnel, and security systems. After identifying security blindspots, RED SHIFT usually uses them to allow the rest of their team to infiltrate and take hidden positions within the facility.
Once prepared, RED SHIFT and their team conduct quick, surgical strikes against key infrastructure and leaders while also turning automated defenses against their former owners. RED SHIFT appears to focus on RIP guns in combat, as well as malware spikes and claws, and is adept at constructing and executing ambushes that allow them to overcome dedicated combat zeos.
According to leaked GuardCorps dossiers, RED SHIFT displays knowledge of specialized GuardCorps infiltration techniques and utilizes customized versions of standard malware and surveillance programs used by GuardCorps intelligence officers. In addition, their close-quarters fighting style seems to resemble the Grav-Maga employed by many Stormer pilots. Most GuardCorps analysts speculate that RED SHIFT likely faked their own death after being radicalized by Void Front propaganda, then secretly defected.
