The Tekiya
Originating from an offshoot of smuggling cartels in the 2G worlds of Falconsky, neighboring Pentahelios, the Tekiya society has a strong grip in Juno, and enjoys considerable freedom in Stars Edge. Hostility from the OSSU has made it hard for them to make inroads into Astrapelago.
It is widely rumored that Interhelios has provided the Tekiya with covert support to undermine what is perceived as the OSSU monopoly, particularly around the world of Sisyphus. If true, this would have the added benefit to Interhelios of destabilizing many Obguago Dynasty operations.
The Tekiya typically operate in a clandestine manner, creating networks of trade outside of established tariffs and duties, circumventing locally enforced restrictions or mandates. They specialize in small, high-value cargoes in particular and have been known to act as transportation for small Pact forces. They are not public signatories to the Pact—there is no legal entity recognised anywhere in the One Hundred Suns that represents them—but the illicit, often dangerous nature of their work would be impossible without access to armed ships, zeoforms, and personnel when required. The exact strength of such assets is impossible to quantify.
