Tabari El-Shanawee
Current Chief Steward of the Outer Spheres Shipping Union. A veteran of the NextGen Wars (in which he earned the moniker the Steel Prince for his unflinching demeanor), following the Saber Ridge Incident El-Shanawee has been accused of marshaling Pact forces for the blockades in Astrapelago. Though such reports are unverified, they claim that El-Shanawee identified the risk of Interhelios assets gathering quickly in the system and set about stopping any egress of information and ingress of such assets. With a core of veterans from the NextGen wars and other conflicts, he has a few dozen ships covering a large area of space. While he denies any command within Pact, it is clear that he is happy to act as a political ally. Those that claim to have information from inside the upper echelons of the OSSU say that El-Shanawee knows that a determined offensive from Interhelios forces would be too much to stop, and he has been banking on Interhelios backing down from the threat that further escalation might trigger a very unfavorable longer-term outcome for them.
