Port Bloodshade
The port town of Bloodshade is located ion the northern shores of The Crimson Gulf, and thought by most to be the wine capital of the entire Nympharum Confederation. It is primarily a halfling town. The town bustles with activity and its streets are crowded day and night with merchants, traders, adventurers, nobles and commoners alike
Demographics
The town has a mostly halfing population, though other races have been shown to coexist peacefully. In 27 PC, the population is 8,180, with over half (54%) being halfling. Humans make up 21% and, interestingly, half-elves and elves together make up 10%, likely due to its geographic proximity to Drailo.
Government
Bloodshade is ruled by the twentyone members of the Council of Bloodshade, an assembly of traders of many races and both genders, although halflings are predominant among its ranks. The head of the Council was known as the High Vintner. In 27 PC, the High Vintner is Baila Bottlejoy.
Defences
No wall surrounded this town; however, the halfling militia have a series of underground tunnels leading from secret armories to locations outside the town perimeter. Thus, the town guards can often flank troublemakers trying to escape capture.
The town's underground prison was halfling-sized, making it especially unpleasant for human-sized criminals
Industry & Trade
Forty percent of the wine in nobles' houses in Haladruim originated in Bloodshade. Bloosshade's wines, ciders, and beers were known all over Naghron, and the town, despite its small size, was responsible for a large portion of Haladruim's total income.
