YoCP Episode 25 Prolonged Story
Kass casually goes to the kitchenette and fills herself a cup of the coffee I set to brew earlier, before she returns and plops down on the couch next to Felix, who's still looking shell shocked.
"Eyes up here, little man. Slept well enough on the couch?" she asks indifferently, dead set on moving on from whatever awkwardness I caused. Is she actually pulling blasé better off than I am?
"Uh, uuh, yeah. And sorry," Felix stutters, still freaked. Gods, we really exposed him to way too much, didn't we?
"Don't be sorry - be cool, okay?" Kass says, lighting a smoke, turning her attention to the window.
"So, uhh, when do you need to be at the station?" I ask as I sit down on the other end of the couch.
"Oh, uhh, in a couple of hours," he answers, uncertain on where to look at me. "Is... Zeldine gonna be there?"
"Zel? Uh, yeah, sure. She's a late sleeper, but we can go pick her up." Out of all of us, I'd have thought she'd have scared him the most, but I guess she had a moment to put on her charm yesterday.
