YoCP Episode 16: Our Dís Thrud

I spot our Dís, Thrud, already getting up as our eyes meet. She always liked doing a proper greeting.

"Alea! Our unnested youngling, back for the taste of home, I take it?" she states as she grabs me in a bear hug. "Kass, Zeldine. And who's this young man?"

"This is my... brother - Felix," I explain, with less conviction than I should. "And this is our Dís - ehr, that means elder - Thrud."

"Your brother? Well, a guest of yours is a guest of mine. Welcome to Evergreen, child!" Thrud states, and I let out a heavy sigh of relief.

"It's an honor, Lady- ehr Dís? 'Thrud' like the daughter of Thor?" My brother asks very politely. I'm impressed that he knows anything about Norse mythology.

"Dude, she is that 'Thrud'," Zeldine says in a teasing tone, and Felix tenses up instantly.

"R-really? An even bigger honor then," he responds in a nervous smile.

"Oh, don't mention it," Thrud laughs it off courteously, but I know she loves the attention. "Now eat and drink with the rest of us!"
