YoCP Episode 19 Prolonged Story
With Zeldine staying behind to recharge or a 'solo-sesh' as she called it, Kass and I are driving Felix back to Garden City. He's staying at a hotel downtown by the train station, which makes it easily available. He is looking a bit spent and overwhelmed by all of it.
"I'm sorry we didn't get around all of the park. But I hope you had fun!" I start.
"Oh, yeah, it really was an eye-opener," he states as if I woke him from a trance. But he's smiling, which is good, right?
"I get it if it's all a bit much. To us it's been our entire world, so we're acclimated to it, but-"
"No, it really is fine. I am happy that you let me see a part of your world, Le- ...Alea." God, he's a good kid.
"I'm happy you wanted to!" I really am. Don't get sentimental now. Man, I need a drink. Or a joint. Anything really. "So, uhh, to the hotel then?"
"It's still so early... Can I see your place?"
"Sure! I mean, it's not much to look at, but... yeah, we can do that!"
