Zurrok lead the Sirasion Empire in a successful campaign against The High Tekno , emerging victorious. Despite being the same species as the enemy his people fought, Zurrok showed that he was not against getting stuck in along side his troops. Despite advice against such things from his advisors, Zurrok would routinely take the battle field along side his soldiers, using his powerful cybernetics that he continued working on as time progressed to hold his own on the field of battle. From here the Sirasions entered an age of growth despite issues with the The Galactic Rebellion . During the Great Uprising he met his first love, Tirana, on the desert planet Zygaria, after he became marooned on the planet which was heavily contested between the Sirasions and Rebels he came across her and her friends captured on a Rebel train. Together he and Tirana escaped the world, where after he helped her find her lost mother. The two grew close throughout and eventually their relationship became public knowledge. Tirana was the gentle touch to Zurrok's ruthless hand, he had grown bitter and resentful of the galactic human populations such as the High Tekno and the Rebellion and treated them with little remorse, though with Tirana by his side she would often keep him from losing himself to his darker thoughts during these tough times. Throughout the Great Uprising era, Zurrok continued his trend of getting stuck in on the battlefield. He had by now developed his cybernetics to the point where more machine remained than man now, many of his internal organs becoming redundant. He had also continued developing his personal nanobots, a secret which he kept very close. All of this made Zurrok a formidable opponent in battle who the rebels feared. When the Rebellion exploited the crack in the war droid network and kickstarted the chain of events what would lead to the Empire's downfall, Zurrok ordered the mass mining of a newly discovered material called Tesseract, the material had been extensively tested and had been shown to catapult whatever it touched into a seemingly alternate, parallel dimension, and back again if used correctly. In a last ditch attempt to save the Sirasion Empire, Zurrok had huge amounts of Tesseract placed in Siran's crust, so it could be detonated and hide as many of the Empire's assets as possible. All loyal Sirasions were called back to Siran, there they would go into long term stasis as the tesseract was detonated. The plan worked and Siran disappeared. While the Rebellion celebrated their victory, Zurrok was already planning the Empire's come back. He had the Sirasion people alternate stasis time, with one group of them emerging for several years, then another group emerging to take their place. In this time constructions of more imperial battleships took place, the Aegis shield was erected and most importantly, Zurrok kept the will of the people strong, he himself was ageless due to the advanced nanobots and extensive cybernetic enhancements bestowed upon him. When Zurrok deemed the people ready, after 200 years of waiting, he had the tesseract pull the planet back into the galaxy. From here, the Sirasions found the galaxy much changed, but Zurrok didn't care, he wanted what he believed was owed to the Empire, so the war with the Galactic Alliance began. ____________________________________Infection.
During the war with the Alliance a strange anomalous energy called Corruption emerged, the High Tekno former leader, now known as Red Venom, set his sights on the Emperor, eager to take his revenge on Zurrok for deliberately leaving him to die on an ice planet after the fall of the High Tekno. He kidnapped the Emperor and held him in a cave on planet Jharak for six months. In this time he brutally tortured Zurrok until he was rescued in a cataclysmic battle between the Alliance, Siraisons and forces of Corruption. __________________________________Abduction.
Alliance Intelligence launched a daring assault on Siran, disrupting a large scale galactic address from Zurrok and other members of the Sirasion Empire. Their objective; capture Emperor Zurrok and bring him back to Alliance custody in a bid to end the war. After realising they weren't going to be able to succeed, Zurrok putting up a vicious fight, the agents opted not to leave the planet empty handed, capturing Tirana, Zurrok's partner, who was pregnant with twins at the time, bringing her back to the Alliance instead. Zurrok was understandably outraged, threatening all sorts of methods of retaliation against them. Even some officials in the Alliance questioned AI's actions. While in custody of the Alliance on Caldur Primaris, Tirana fell ill with a corruption based ailment that the Alliance didn't understand at the time and lacked necessary treatments for, this caused her to enter labour far too early. She was transferred to an Alliance hospital but Zurrok was understandably not allowed anywhere near the capital planet, that was until Master General Damien Fellhammer pulled some hefty strings and got Zurrok a no questions asked access permit to the planet. Using this he flew to Caldur Primaris and brought with him Sirasion nanites that managed to save Tirana and the two babies. Zurrok's arrival and Tirana's presence on the world had not gone un-noticed. Red Venom managed to find his way to the hospital and kidnap one of the children. He succeeded in escaping the hospital with Terrix, the first born of the twins. After a high octane chase through the streets of Caldur Primaris, Zurrok got his new born son back, but not before Red Venom had infected the child with high levels of corruptive energy. AI, still acting under their own motive, managed to kidnap Zurrok and Tirana's other son, the boy who eventually become Kline Muldarch. Following the traumatic event, Zurrok and Tirana left the planet with their new born son, trying not to focus on the child they had lost. Zurrok's seething hatred for A.I however continued to grow. ________________________________Betrayal.
Terrix had now grown up, but now he was old enough for red venom to put his master plan into effect. When Red Venom had briefly kidnapped Terrix when he had just been born, he channelled a large portion of his power directly into him. As Terrix grew up this part of him was hidden deep within his subconscious, until he was old enough for Redvenom to reawaken it. Now under the command of Red Venom, Terrix and imprisoned Zurrok and Tirana aboard the SIN merciless. Terrix made an announcement to the galaxy that his father had fell ill and passed away and that he was taking control of the Sirasion empire. He ordered a purge of Zurrok's loyal Highguard and a mass re-programming of Sirasion war droids. Terrix's take over wasn't immediate, with some loyal Sirasions smelling treachery. Lead by Skar they gathered a sizeable fleet and fled into deep space. Eventually they linked up with members of he Alliance after they too felt the wrath of Terrix's corrupted Sirasion Empire. Together the two fragments of the once great factions launched an attack on the Merciless, Zurrok's personal flagship, Which was under heavy guard. Onboard they found the imprisoned Zurrok and Tirana. The attack was costly but succeeded in rescuing the true Sirasion Emperor. However when Skar stepped aside as the leader of the resistance movement Zurrok refused to take command out of self doubt of his capabilities, leaving Skar to continue leading the offensive against the now dubbed 'Dark Sirasions' After many long months, the resistance movement made it to Siran and Terrix was located. Zurrok insisted he be allowed to head down to the planet and talk to his son in an attempt to save him. However even to Zurrok the corruption within his son was so deeply rooted that there was little left to save. There Zurrok engaged in combat with Terrix and brought an end to his sons life and reign of tyranny. This took a heavy toll on Zurrok. As far as he knew he'd now lost both of his sons. Following his re institution as the Sirasion Emperor, Zurrok and Tirana conceived another child, Zaliah When Zaliah was born however she was affected by a deep seeded Corruption that was so heavily rooted within it threatened to kill her or even worse, turn her to it like it did with Terrix. This destroyed Tirana, having already suffered the loss of both of her children. It affected her so much Zurrok had to make the tough decision of lieing to her to spare her the pain. Zurrok told Tirana their daughter had succumbed to the hazardous energy and passed away, however in actual fact he had her taken to a specialised facility where all number of tests would be carried out on her in order to save her life and allow her to live as normal, although the chances of success were very slim. As traumatic as it was for both Zurrok and Tirana losing their third, and seemingly final child, it was realized that due to Zurrok's exposure to Red Venom for such a long period of time and to such an extreme degree that any child he would now have was doomed to fall to Corruption, which made the discovery of the other twin so important. Kline Muldarch as he was now called, was taken by AI at birth, the intention being to forge him into the perfect weapon to use against Zurrok. During his training as he grew up however, Kline realised the Muldarch family he had grown up with wasn't his real family, but an elaborate trick by AI. Kline escaped his phony household, having found out all he'd known was a lie. In an effort to find out who his real family was, Kline uploaded a DNA sample to an ancestry database. To his surprise Zurrok came up as a match. Zurrok himself was alerted about this match and at first was overjoyed to find out one of his two lost sons was still alive. He seeked out Kline and informed him of his entire heritage, offering him to come and take his rightful place within the Sirasion Empire. Kline however has refused, having been brought up in the Alliance and seeing the war from a different perspective. This angered Zurrok and saddened Tirana. Following this Kline became somewhat of a vigilante, conflicted where his allegiances lay. Kline would go on with his vigilante activity until knowingly interfering with Zurrok's chase to catch the fleeing Skree , one of his hated adversaries. On top of other imperial operations his AI trained traitor son had interfered with he had now gone too far, Zurrok ordered the capture of Kline and his now accomplice Laura Fellhammer. Eventually Kline and Laura were captured by imperial forces. Zurrok's intention being to have them put behind bars. However the level of notoriety they had amassed as vigilantes demanded a much harsher punishment than that. The imperial populace demanded the execution of the two, and despite Zurrok trying to get it changed, the High Council over-ruled him, a task that his political competitors took pleasure in doing. This was around the time political decent for Zurrok had began to manifest itself in Sirasion society, and any more unrest could tip things over to boiling point. As much as it pained Zurrok, he knew there was nothing he could do. However much of his guilt lay with Laura, the daughter of Damien Fellhammer and the man who had ultimately helped save his wife and children who was about to meet the same fate. Zurrok however knew Damien would not sit idle and allow Laura to be killed. Zurrok intentionally had the execution take place in an open and remote part of Siran, which allowed Damien and his squad to drop pod right into the heart of the action and rescue Kline and Laura. Zurrok, who was waiting in an X-3, sought to intervene at the precise moment with Fellhammer causing enough of a distraction that he could take Kline and Laura and move them somewhere far away, thus sparing their lives without the knowledge of the Sirasion people. Fellhammer would unfortunately have to be their scapegoat. Fellhammer however refused to go down without a fight, not believing in Zurrok's plan, instead opting to down Zurrok's dropship by leaping from his own to the X-3 and ripping it apart by hand. The dropship crashed in the jungle, leaving Zurrok and Fellhammer no choice but to battle it out in the wreckage. Zurrok was victorious over his opponent, and despite giving Fellhammer a chance to surrender, the proud SAF opted to die in battle rather than be captured. Zurrok bore a tremendous amount of guilt for this action, so much so he risked everything by traveling to Caldur Primaris with Tirana to attend his funeral. If Kline was on the fence before, he was no longer. Firmly being turned against his father. _____________________________________________________________________-Co-operation.
With the Necrophyte Order, under control of the infamous galactic terrorist and leader of the Cult of the Blackfeather, Regenold having made its grand debut on the Black Eagle planet, the new galactic power's leader intended to assert his dominance over the Sirasion Empire by taking down the Emperor. Regenold sent a phony message claiming to be from Tirana's brother who she had lost long ago. They travelled to Tirana's home world where the message had been sent from only to find a surprise waiting for them in the form of Grek'Grin, the puppet leader who Regenold was using to run the Order. Grek'grin proved incredibly powerful, powerful enough to best Zurrok in combat. However, Laura had been waiting for Zurrok to venture out without the aid of a fleet, along with Kline, she travelled to Zygaria in an attempt to kill Zurrok as revenge for the death of her father. A fight ensued between all sides which resulted in Tirana and Laura being captured by Grek'grin and Zurrok along with Kline escaping. The two of them having to consolidate their forces and work together to rescue their loved ones. Unfortunately for Kline, he and Laura were brought back aboard the S.I.N Merciless. Zurrok however was not intending to let the High Council get in the way this time, still feeling tremendous guilt for Damien Fellhammer, He gave Kline and Laura one last chance, including a safe place for them to live in peace, so long as they stayed out of galactic affairs. ___________________________________________________________________________Unravelling
Zurrok had made a fair few enemies over the course of his life. One of the more irritating ones was Skree, an ex A.I agent who took part in a plot along with Arkavon Prison to capture him and claim the bounty money from the Alliance. When the plan went wrong, Skree pocketed as much money as he could and fled, which left Zurrok alive. Zurrok was determined to take Skree down, not wanting rumours to get around that some criminal had come so close to killing him, as well as the horrific experiments Skree was complicit to while on Arkavon. This created a bitter rivalry between the two which hit its peak after Skree managed to find the facility Zaliah was being raised under now Skar had passed away. This was Skree's attempt to get Zurrok to leave him and his affairs alone, but in fact achieved the opposite as Zurrok kicked his manhunt for the criminal into high gear. In his obsession to track down Zaliah, Zurrok was beginning to let his emotions get the better of him. The Necrophyte order made another bid to draw out Zurrok, a plan which he should have seen coming if his thoughts weren't so clouded. Grek'grin along with a small force made a seemingly generic attack against orbital fortifications in Sirasion space near to where Zurrok's battleship was located. Eager to take his anger out on an enemy faction leader, Zurrok had his ship intercept. He easily engaged and shot down Grek'grin's fighter and had him brought to the highest security prison in the Sirasion Empire. This was all part of Regenold's grand plan however, as Grek had been fully equipped to escape the prison and free a very specific individual; Red Venom. The two escaped the prison, and while ACSU units were immediately mobilized, one of the galaxy's most dangerous individuals was loose once more. Zurrok cursed himself for falling into such a trap, baring the responsibility. Meanwhile, Kline and Laura had been living away in exile, having been given a final chance to stay away from the war and live in peace. Kline however witnessed a number of atrocities committed by Sirasion soldiers and couldn't sit by and do nothing. This put him back on the Empire's radar, the High Council and the imperial people demanding he be brought to justice. By this time, the secret was getting out that Kline was Zurrok's son, so the Emperor made it a public address, revealing to the galaxy his son's identity. He gave Kline the alternatum of turning himself in or be found and brought in by authorities. Kline opted to make his location known to Zurrok by that of undecrypted broadcast. With the whole galaxy now knowing Klines heritage, many sought to capitalise on the fact. Word quickly spread to the other rival factions and soon the Alliance world of Sanctuary Prime was embroiled in conflict. Tirana insisted on coming with Zurrok to try one last time to convince him to come home, but the transport they were traveling crashed and they became separated. Eventually, Zurrok and Kline met and fought brutally which ended with Kline surrendering himself to his father. By this point Zurrok knew there was no way out for Kline, even Tirana had accepted her son's fate. Kline was executed via lethal injection behind closed doors. Having now lost both of his sons, Zaliah was the only one of Zurrok's children left, and her fate was less certain than ever. ___________________________________________________Demise
As the years progressed and the galaxy changed, Zurrok continued to lead the Sirasion Empire. However his grief stricken state was starting to affect his ability to lead alone. He began giving more responsibilities to the War Council, made up of some of his most trusted advisors. Otherwise, he spent much of his time alone. Tirana was the only one who could offer him consolation, but even she found it difficult sometimes, especially with the situation surrounding their children, and then there was Zurrok who still knew about Zaliah and couldn't bring himself to tell his wife what had happened. Despite their love for one another, they would have their arguments, especially when ever Damien Fellhammer was brought up. It was in one such argument Tirana left the Merciless to cool off. This was where she was captured by Regenold who had recently been ousted from the throne as the Necrophyte Dynasty took power. In a bid to return to galactic notoriety, he abducted Tirana and the new Necrophyte king's son; Arc'orion with the intention of executing them publicly. The second stage of Regenold's plan was to contact Zurrok and show him he also had Zaliah, who he had in turn captured from Skree, in his possession and do the same with her. Zurrok had no intention of sitting by and letting this happen. He, along with Grek, mobilized a massive strike force to try and stop the execution. But they were too late to save Tirana and Arc'orion. This was the first step that strengthened the bond between Zurrok and Grek as leaders and eventually, friends. Following Tirana's death, Zurrok was wrought with grief. He left the merciless where he travelled back to Zygaria and stayed there until Tirana's state funeral where he did not speak. _________________________________________Zaliah
When Zaliah was found, she was still unaware who her true mother was. Zurrok knew the conversation would not be easy, so he put it off for far longer than he knew he should have. Instead, opting to acclimate Zaliah into life as the daughter of the Sirasion Emperor. He found this process difficult, still grieving the loss of Tirana, despite having never met her real mother, Zaliah had inherited so many of her traits. Zaliah had always been academically gifted from a young age, when it came to applying her skills in a physical sense she struggled at first but eventually came to grips with such things. Zurrok knew Zaliah was the last person he had who he was truly close to. With the loss of both of his sons, his wife and his father figure in the form of Skar, he clung to Zaliah with an iron grip. Zaliah however was keen to go out an explore the vast galaxy, something Zurrok as deathly afraid would lead her to the same fate as her mother. Regenold after all had escaped after Tirana's murder and was still on the run, albeit being hunted by most of the Sirasion Empire at this point. Zaliah didn't like how over-protective her father was being, as such she began to become quite rebellious, ditching her imperial regalia in favour of space biker attire and heading out to seedy bars on the edge of imperial space. Zurrok would find out about these escapades and hire a number of bounty hunters and other such individuals to follow her and keep tabs on her saftey and whereabouts. These misadventures hit their peak when Zaliah and Samsara ended up getting caught sneaking around at the Popo pleasure palace and as punishment were forced into the arena to fight. One of the hunters Zurrok had hired alerted him to this, which resulted in Zurrok and a full compliment of Highguard showing up to rescue the two. It was after this Zurrok knew he had no choice, people would start asking questions soon enough and he had kept one child a secret already. Not wanting the same for Zaliah he grit his teeth and told her the truth."Yes Zaliah, Tirana was your mother. I can apologize until the stars burn out but that will still not make it right. But know that even if you scorn me for the rest of your days, know everything I did, I did to keep you safe"Zaliah was understandably upset. She ran off into the stars somewhere alone. Zurrok tried to keep tabs on her, but she had grown wise to her fathers tricks and gave every attempt the slip. It was on this runaway she came into contact with the virus that would go on to cause Wendigo Syndrome. When she was found. ________________________________________________________________
Haunted
Before Zaliah ran away, Zurrok experienced a vivid dream that was shared with the other major faction leaders of the Necrophytes, Alliance and the new factions of the Skaroniens and Rada. The leaders all agreed that sharing the same dream on the same night was a concerning turn of events. Zurrok and Drek'thar especially, who in the dream progressed the furthest, began researching into the phenomenon. After Zaliah was found and saw to be infected with this mystery disease, she was transferred to a secure hospital. Thought at first it was due to the seed of corruption she carried, it already was too late to stop the spread of what would be called Wendigo Syndrome. Zurrok was now more afraid than ever he would lose the only family he had left. He knew more than anyone his prioritisation of his family over the last several years had driven a rift between him and his people, with the species differences being more prevalent now more than ever. Zurrok knew his rule could not last and that the political tensions between Sirasions with differing opinions was reaching a boiling point. It was more important now than ever before that the Sirasion populace remain united, it was also important he find a cure for his ailing daughter. Zurrok made the hard decision to step down from the throne, placing Sal'tarn Darkstar as his successor. This came as a controversial choice as viewed by the rest of the galaxy, Darkstar being considered as a war-hungry tyrant. For the Sirasion people though, he was what was needed to quell any doubt that the Empire had a strong leader. As Darkstar began his invasion of New Skara, Zurrok set out to find a cure for Wendigo Syndrome and thus his daughter. As his search continued Zurrok began to realise that this entire situation with the disease was more than it seemed. There were unexplainable forces at play here, and he was determined to find out what. ______________________________________________________Numb
Zurrok continued to tirelessly search for the source of Wendigo Syndrome. Spending every night and day looking over coordinates and news articles for any trace of its origins and how a cure could be synthesized. Now no longer the emperor, his resources were limited. No progress had been made in the laboratory either with Zaliah, who had been medically induced into a coma shortly after she was found. Things continued to get more mysterious surrounding the disease when Zurrok's research lead him to a barren moon where he fought an individual who claimed to be a future version of himself. Zurrok dismissed these ramblings, but this individual knew far too much for it to be a mere coincidence. The two anarchist factions of the Overman and Parafeud had gained significant strength by now. The former believing the only way to overcome the disease was to willingly submit to the Rada, while the latter were the polar opposite and believed in eradicating such beliefs along with the disease. The Parafeud seemed to be very clued up on how the disease worked and had come to many of the same conclusions Zurrok had in their research. Believing them to be a potential, yet unstable ally, Zurrok personally armed them with specialised weapons that they used to fight the Rada, who in their eyes were responsible for the origin of this disease. The Overman were equally as skilled in coming up with ways to spread their message. They had figured out a way to hide themselves and their assets within pocket dimensions of the Corruption Realm. One such weapon they had worked on was simply dubbed 'The Tune'. A piece of subliminal coding that affected the users mind in a way that would not be discovered until it was already too late. By then, what would be dubbed as the Homeworld Incident was in full swing. ___________________________________________________________Rip and Tear
Believing he had found the origin of the Wendigo Syndrome in the form a way into the Overman pocket dimension, Zurrok concluded that the time for research was over and the time for action had come. Before Zaliah was induced into a coma she made a number of feverish ramblings that all pointed to this being where she had contracted the disease. Zurrok began putting together a team from members formed from each of the major factions, including Drek'thar, who Zurrok had become solid friends with by now. The Parafued had previously offered Zurrok the option that they were certain the cure to the disease lay within Zaliah's DNA as patient zero, however the process to extract what they needed would almost certainly kill her. Zurrok abjectly refused to allow this to happen, and the parafeud, being an ally, accommodated his desire. At the back of Zurroks mind however, he knew there was truth to what they said, but in his insistence to save the only family he had left he persisted with the dangerous journey into the pocket dimension anyway. For this mission Zurrok dug up an old project dubbed the Slayer program, a suit of armour designed to allow the user to freely enter the corruption realm without any ill effects as well as deal with any aberrations that accost them. He recovered the prototypes and headed in along with his team. They encountered many horrors in the form of demons that freely inhabited the space. The team fought their way deep into the Overman facility, mercilessly killing anyone or anything they came across. All of the built up rage and torment Zurrok had been dealt was being channelled into his armoured fists as he butchered demonic spawn after demonic spawn and any unfortunate Overman followers who got in the way. The team eventually made it to the heart of the facility where they found all of the Overman's secrets including the origin of the disease, or at least the Overman's interpretation of it. However as they turned to leave the gate they came through shut, forcing them to contend with the onslaught of abominations as the team on the other side tried to get the gate open again. _________________________________________________________________--The Many
As Zurrok went off the grid inside the Overman pocket dimension, Darkstar, who was coming close to a victory on New Skara, was beginning to feel the pressures of the disease that was now affecting his troops. He needed a cure and he needed it now. He besought advice in the Parafeud who informed him of the solution they had offered Zurrok. The Parafeud said to Darkstar they had no intention of carrying out the plan without the former emperor's approval, though made it no secret that as Emperor, they would heed the word of Darkstar over anyone else. Darkstar thought about it. He and Zurrok were good friends, not to mention he had trusted him with the highest authority in the Sirasion Empire. Going around his friends back would make him the lowest form of traitor. Ultimately though, Darkstar had an empire to care for, an empire that was being ravaged by a strange disease who's cure sat within reach. Darkstar opted to go through with the process of extracting a cure from Zaliah, burying his terrible deed under rubble, deceit and imperial bodies of those who knew too much. Zurrok was so used to heartbreak that upon hearing the news of Zaliah's death he did not grieve as he did for Tirana. In fact, Zurrok knew deep down that Zaliah's death had to happen to save the entire galaxy. He also knew that someone had authorised the extraction of the cure, who it was couldn't be certain, and while he had a feeling it was Darkstar, he chose to bury those suspicions along with his daughter and put the needs and stability of the Sirasion Empire and the galaxy at large before his own. Eventually the source of all of the strife came to a head as the Parafeud sent a message saying they had cornered the Overman leadership and were preparing to execute them. Zurrok rushed over in an attempt to try to get some information out of the Overman before they were killed, only to have the leader transform into a horrifying creature that bombarded everyone around it with mind crippling screams. As everyone, including Zurrok opened fire on the creature to no avail, it assaulted Zurrok with horrifying existential visions that permanently warped and altered his mind. The defeat of the creature came not from firepower, but from one individual who identified himself as Ethem Hacktemco. Ethem revealed he was the mastermind behind all of the events to do with the Wendigo Syndrome, the Overman and the Parafeud and that his efforts were to prepare the galaxy for the coming of the creature they had just briefly witnessed, and that they had all failed in properly uniting enough to fight such a threat. Ethem remained on the barren moon for several more weeks, allowing factions and individuals a chance to speak with him. Fearing the power Ethem clearly held, nobody did. Aside from Zurrok. Zurrok was a man of science, and while it was no secret that extradimensional beings existed and could influence the galaxy on a physical level, he still felt as if some cruel god had played a trick on him as penance for lying to Zaliah and Tirana as he did. Zurrok cursed Ethem for using the galaxy as a test for his theory which resulted in the needless death of trillions as well as his only child he had left. Despite all this, Ethem named Zurrok as the only one in the galaxy he saw capable of putting his personal and faction commitments aside to the degree he deemed necessary to stop the threat he intended to prepare the galaxy for. By now, Zurrok had vastly out-lived the lifetime of an average human, and all of this knowledge and experience coupled with the third-eye opening visions thrust onto him by the creature called Pse'qodi made Zurrok realise how insignificant the galaxy, the war and even the Sirasion Empire was in the grand scheme of the cosmos. Ethem's words that he may be instrumental, or perhaps even the only one who could stop a threat even bigger than that of intergalactic war also weighed heavily on his mind. Beyond the point of grief, Zurrok shut himself off from everything and every one. He still served as a member of the Sirasion War Council and headed the production and development of War Droids, but he began to grow distant from these practises, turning to personal research into the understanding of the cosmos and what other secrets could be hiding out there beyond the reaches of the Milky Way. __________________________________________________________________The Last Straw
Ethem's test on the galaxy, while being entirely fabricated, left very real consequences. The creation of the Wendigo Syndrome disease and by proxy the Overman who had been advocating and in many cases forcing people infected with the disease or otherwise to be transformed into Rada. While this had offered a cure to the disease, it also caused a boom in Rada population. Shortly before Ethem revealed himself however Khizra of the Rada was assassinated, unknown to everyone at the time he had been usurped by Bashi who planned to use the population boom to start an all out war with the rest of the galaxy. Zurrok spent this period of time referred to by many as the Rada-tide trying desperately along with the war council to keep the Sirasion Empire held together. He besought Ethem's advice on how to undo the actions that had inadvertently caused this sudden increase in forces for Bashi, but the old, extragalactic man refused to offer any solutions. Many faction leaders now lived in fear of Ethem and what he might do next. No one dared go near him after he was seen to hold such power. It was here Zurrok realised there was nothing he could do to stop the Rada onslaught, he was no longer the leader he once was, the Sirasion people now looked to Darkstar for guidance, who was fully capable of kept the people strong in the face of certain defeat as the Rada numbers continued to swell as they developed more advanced methods of increasing their numbers. This only made worse with the fact the Rada had secured all of the Omega Energy artefacts and were using the immense power drive all the other factions back. The over all situation had never looked more bleak, the galaxy having just recovered from a horrible disease and now were in even worse peril from a tide of monsters. If not for the last ditch attempt by a combined force of the major factions throwing everything they had onto one last attack on the Rada home world the whole galaxy would likely have been doomed. While Bashi's plan technically succeeded and the Great Worm was summoned, the massive god-like creature smote Bashi for his insolence. Shortly after, without Bashi as a driving force, the Rada attack force became disorientated and soon lost steam. As the tide of Rada were finally being pushed back, the major factions met for a discussion about what to do now. Zurrok found himself un-invited to such talks, the war-council instead sending High Overseer Van'dar, with Emperor Darkstar being in critical condition after the battle. Zurrok had every intention of staying away, now it being confirmed to him the Sirasion Empire really did not need him anymore. However when he found out Ethem was intending to gate crash the meeting he headed straight there. The factions ordered no one to fire upon Ethem, afraid of what he might do in retaliation. He began cursing the factions for their stubbornness, that even as they had just narrowly avoid utter destruction at the hands of the Rada they should be seeking to overcome their differences rather than discussing the spoils. Zurrok forced his way in to the meeting, to much protest by guards and faction staff. It was here he took the chance no one else dared to and draw an ordinary pistol from his belt, shooting and killing the individual who had been responsible for plunging the galaxy into a hell-scape of disease and somehow an even greater state of war than what once existed."After all of this there is finally a chance for peace. Yet as the galaxy finds its feet once more, I am unable to escape the fact that Ethem did not die in a manner resemblant of the evil mastermind everyone believed him to be. He did not scream to the heavens as he came to terms with his plan of conquest having failed. Ethem Hacktemco died as a man who did what he was certain would make us listen. He died afraid, not for himself, but for us."______________________________________________________________________________
Life Continues
Following the end of the Extinction war, Zurrok continued his duties on the war council as an advisor to the new Empress, Sar'lira. However watching the Empire slip into civil war as the Sirasion Contingency formed and in turn went on to start fighting with the Skaronien Phoenix Ascendancy Zurrok finally came to the conclusion that he could not stop the Sirasion people from embarking on their path of conquest in one form or another, that hope for a galaxy where everyone could co-exist was even less of an option now than ever before. The one thing the formation of the Contingency did show Zurrok was that a Sirasion faction without his war droids would have crumbled much sooner. He did not take much pride from the life he lead, but seeing his war droids continue to prove themselves to be at the forefront of galactic technology gave him a small degree of satisfaction, as well as by now designs based off of his original nanobot template were being used across the empire and beyond to save countless lives. When the news came that Laura Fellhammer, the wife of Zurroks late son Kline, had died, he travelled to her grave to pay his respects, leaving a fragment of Damien Fellhammer's weapon, Droidbane, on the grave. His grand children, Alec and Xendar were presant, but they viewed their grandfather with shame and disgust for his past choices. Zurrok had grown tired, he had lived far longer than any human before him and all of those years had left him weary. But between his time as an advisor on the war council, Zurrok continued studying into the origins of Pse'qodi and what Ethem could have been warning everyone about.Education

"The phrase 'nothing left to lose' often implies carelessness towards ones actions. Everything I once cared about has been taken away from me, so one could say I resonate with that statement. But while I have nothing left to lose but life itself the same cannot be said for others who have just exchanged wedding vows, who's children have just taken their first steps, who look on with pride as their hard work leads them to the future they dreamt of. Its not for myself that i carry on, but for them"Zurrok went from being a fiery, passionate individual who systematically had everything, piece by piece taken away from him, even the Sirasion Empire had out grown his leadership. Now void of personal attachments, Zurrok strives for understanding, not just in himself, but in what threats to the galaxy might come next.

History
Zurrok and Drek'thar were not always on good terms, as leaders their ideals were almost always directly opposing, as well as their respective factions holding a large amount of disdain for one another. Zurrok and Drek'thar did not become friends until both of them had abdicated their positions of leadership. Both Zurrok and Drek'thar's research was vital to solving the Pse'Qodi phenomenon and it made the two realize they had more in common than they first thought. Following their joint experience in the Dream Vision and the eventual defeat of Pse'qodi, the two became advocates of peace.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
As two intellectuals, Zurrok and Drek'thar concentrate their efforts on the safety of the galaxy as a whole, having experienced the galaxy altering abilities of Pse'qodi and Ethem first hand. They often share research into certain matters, sometimes sensitive ones. When not focusing on such duties, the two can often be found on either Skara or Siran sharing stories and a drink.
