Empress Sar'lira
Empress of the Sirasion Empire
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Sar'lira is thin in frame, in line with most other Sirasion females, however she has undergone intense physical training so she may hold her own in combat. She is well versed in the Sirasion combat form used by the Highguard soldiers, this is shown through well defined muscles on the top half of her body. Her strength however, while better than the average for female Sirasions, is by no means a stand out trait.
Her endurance seems to become enriched at night time, having shown she can press on all through the night without any rest stops for food or water. The opposite seems to be the case in the day however, with it being noted Sar'lira is often less responsive when the sun first comes up.
Identifying Characteristics
Sar'lira has dark blue skin with deep blue, almost violet features such as her tail plates and hair. Her tail is shorter than average and thinner too. Her hair is long, often intricately styled for when she partakes in her political duties. She sports sharp facial features such as a defined jaw line, prominent cheek bones and a pointed nose. All this complimenting the piercing stare that seems to rest on her face most of the time. Her skin is smooth, much more so than the average Sirasion
Special abilities
Sar'lira has most definitely picked up a number of abilities from her father, while even she herself isn't exactly sure of the extend of these abilities, it is known Sar'lira feels more energized at night when on planets. She also has the ability to subtly manipulate light at will, able to darken certain light sources or even with more primitive light sources such as candles and fires, able to extinguish them entirely with her willpower alone. She also seems to be able to manipulate shadows, when standing within on she can become almost entirely invisible. While she doesn't physically turn invisible, the shadows merely bend in such a way that those less in tune with Trezekh and his shadowy abilities are simply convinced she is not there.
She also has intuition senses at night, sometimes able to anticipate things coming out of the shadows before it happens, and on top of all this she has exceptional night vision.
Apparel & Accessories
Sar'lira is usually seen in the public eye wearing her specially tailored regalia in the standard imperial colours of black and green. While the armour is primarily for show, it does come equipped with all the protection a standard Sirasion battle suit provides. She also wears a blue trimmed cloak, blue being the colour of the Contingency, to signify their allegiance. Sar'lira's suit is also equipped with a personalized wrist blade, a much more minimalistic weapon than the standard wrist blade, the advantage comes in that it is light and molecularly sharpened, making it able to cut through even the toughest armour.
When not in her battlesuit, Sar'lira prefers a green garb adorned with runic patterns, made of fabric produced from the Bar'ak plant on Siran, an incredibly soft and expensive fabric and one of Siran's primary exports.

Personal history
Sar'lira was born to Sypherian, grandmaster of the Cult of Trezekh and Zher'tekh, the avatar of Trezekh, the Sirasion shadow god. As punishment for Sar'lira's birth Trezekh was imprisoned by his brother, Syros, the Sirasion god of war, back in the Sirasion god realm. But despite Trezekh's meddling with mortal affairs for what would for now be the last time, no action was taken by Syros against Sar'lira.
Sypherian raised Sar'lira alone, in this time never taking any leave from her post as head of the Imperial intelligence section. Her growing up was difficult, being a direct product of the shadow god she often had dramatic mood swings and days at a time where she would not eat or speak to anyone, occasionally going into strange, dream like trances unexplainable by even the most knowledgeable priests or scientists. As her childhood progressed Sar'lira learned to harness the gifts passed down to her by her father. Mastering such abilities like suppressing light and obfuscating herself in the dark, she even used the latter trick to sneak into war council meetings with Sypherian, though Sypherian being in tune with the shadowy abilities of Trezekh eventually figured out how to see through her disguise. Despite this, she allowed Sar'lira to sit in on the meetings. Darkstar especially took a liking to her.
Eventually, the War Council came to trust Sar'lira enough that she'd be allowed to speak in meetings, and when it came time for her to take her military service she was placed in the same scout division her mother had served in before. Sar'lira's tour of duty lasted for for three years, in which she mostly fought against the Sirasion Contingency. She climbed through the rank quickly, excelling at leading her squad in night fighting and was eventually assigned to the Nightstalkers. in the Nightstalkers she proved herself as an extremely capable marksman and assassin, being responsible for single handidly dispatching dispatching most of the Contingency's leader structure on a deep behind enemy lines mission. It was here she met with her childhood friend Var'tax once more. Him having recognized her, her cover was blown.
The two had split from one another when Var'tax's family were pulled into the Contingency side of the civil war, having been friends since short after birth, meeting in the Sirasion equivalent of a nursery. Now on different sides, they met once again in battle. They fought in brutal melee combat which ended with Sar'lira as the victor, however she chose to spare Var'tax, for reasons of their past friendship, and because she had a plan in her mind that if she could dismantle enough of the contingency's leadership, Var'tax would be the one to take command.
After Sar'lira finished her military service, she returned to the War Council now as a full fledged strategist. Her plans she had worked flawlessly, having a natural affinity to undercover tactics undermining the enemy. Having spent so long living with the contingency and dispatching their leadership she knew exactly where to strike them, and after her stories she would tell from her exploits she gained a degree of fame within the Empire, several holobooks were published about her and countless interviews conducted, she had very much become a symbol of the Empire's strength over the contingency.
She was taken under the wing of Sal'tarn Darkstar and taught in the art of naval tactics, something which she initially struggled with, and to Darkstar, would be the factor of whether she would earn his respect or not. Though Sar'lira proved to be a quick learner even in this aspect, soon learning how to coordinate an effective fleet. Proving time and time again to be more than capable of outwitting enemy commanders from pirate, cartel and contingency backgrounds.
As she continued to rise through the ranks, her aspirations of uniting the Sirasion people once more still burned bright within her. She began conducting pin point strikes against contingency leaders, on some occasions, with information she had got from Var'tax, who was replacing the roles of the commanders killed by Sar'lira's forces. But it wasn't until a large scale space battle for one of the Black Eagle manufacturing worlds the rest of the war council witnessed Sar'lira's capabilities first hand.
The War Council was set to be on a diplomatic visit to the Alliance territories when their fleet was pulled out of hyperspace by a well planned Contingency ambush. The battleship carrying Sar'lira, Darkstar, Zurrok and Van'dar to name a few, crashed on planet as a result of the battle. The planet itself having a several month long night cycle and being trapped in a swirling electromagnetic nebula, in the darkness and obscurity of the world, Sar'lira was in her element, and with the skilled she had learned and her intuitive abilities in the dark, she and the other members of the War Council held out for forty days, constantly hounded by enemy troops, before they were rescued.
Upon fighting along side Sar'lira for themselves, the rest of the War Council were convinced of her prowess, it was after this Darkstar, as the former Sirasion Emperor, appointed her as the new ruler, which was at first met with mixed feelings from the populace, as female emperors were previously unheard of. However in her inauguration speech she declared her first act would be to unite the Empire and restore it to the glory that it once held.
Citizens, allies and friends of the Sirasion Empire. Many of you know me by various aliases given to me in wake of my achievements against the Contingency, but for those that do not, i am Sar'lira of the Imperial War Council. Taking on position as the Empress is not something i take lightly, it is a sacred duty that only the most capable of our people hold, and i am honored that i was considered worthy by my predecessor, Sal'tarn Darkstar. But this is where the true test begins, i have earned the trust of the War Council, but now i must earn that trust for the rest of my people, all of my brothers and sisters of the Sirasion people. The divide between the Siraison Empire and the Sirasion Contingency risks tearing our great people a sunder and returning us to the long forgotten age of war. We have come to too far, as a people, as an empire, to let this disagreement hinder our path to greatness. That is why my first decree as Empress will be to unite the forces of the Empire and the Contingency by any means necessary, and if i fail to do this, then may Syros himself remove me from power. Strength to the Empire, strength in unity!almost immediately after this Sar'lira put her plans in motion, Var'tax had gathered up his own group of Sirasions eager to unite the two split factions. The two of them sprung the trap and launched an all out attack on the remaining leadership of the contingency, with Var'tax assuming complete control over the faction. after this, more effective peace talks were set in motion and soon enough, Sirasions on both sides came to accept one another as equals. The road wasn't easy however, the Contingency having a completely different way of life to the Empire, a way of life many individuals had gotten used to, so simply destroying them wasn't possible in Sar'lira's eyes. The Sirasion Empire and the Contingency eventually formed a pact of allegiance, while remaining two different factions they supported one anothers goals and accepted the others ideals. in more recent times, Sar'lira has opted to focus personally on more internal affairs, fearing another galactic war would be on the horizon, she has made it her new goal to stabilize the Empire internally, so a split the likes of what happened at the end of the previous galactic war would never happen again.
Intellectual Characteristics
Sar'lira is known for her cunning political maneuvers, able to keep a straight face and a level head in even the most intense political conflicts. She is known for her more lenient approach to situations and likes to show off her power in more subtle ways in the form of mind games instead of physical strength.
