Deep Elf Species in The Realm of Beardsgaard | World Anvil

Deep Elf

Deep Elves are well named, often living in the cold and deep, even deepest abyssal trenches. Some with more pronounced Vanir parentage or other elven ancestors may be land dwelling with water-related professions (fishermen, sailors and the like), but water is always a part of their lives.   Those with more water in their blood can vary in form considerably, with varied combinations of legs, fins, gills, tentacles, bioluminesence, fangs, beaks - that is to say, there is no "typical" Deep Elf.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

Deep Elf age stages take after whichever culture they are raised in, but all things being equal, they lean toward their Elemental side in this regard. They reach full size around 20 years of age, but are still considered in their youth until the age of 100, at 300 they are usually done with their procreation years, and are considered an elder at 1000 years old and beyond.
Legacy Beings take on traits of each of their parent species. A single Vanir far back in a long line of Water Elementals will make for a present day Deep Elf with mostly Elemental characteristics.   Choose which of your parent species you take after more, then take the Stats and Prime Traits of that parent species, and the Legacy Trait of the other parent species.
