High Elf Species in The Realm of Beardsgaard | World Anvil

High Elf

The Day Elves may be the primary residents in Alfheim, but the kingdom is largely run by High Elves - most see the benefit in not losing institutional knowledge to deteriorating minds and death. They also live in Vanaheim, and are often in governmental or leadership positions, but not usually the highest positions.   Like their Vanir ancestors, some of them live in less than humanoid form, but more often than not they stick to the two arms two legs ridiculously beautiful appearances. They have deep magical wellsprings, and have an aptitude for healing and poisons, both their administration and counteractions.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

High Elf age stages take after whichever culture they are raised in, but all things being equal, they lean toward their Vanir side in this regard. They reach full size around 10 years of age, but are still considered in their youth until the age of 100, at 300 they are usually done with their procreation years, and are considered an elder at 1000 years old and beyond.
Legacy Beings take on traits of each of their parent species. A single Vanir far back in a long line of Day Elves will make for a present day High Elf with mostly Elven characteristics.   Choose which of your parent species you take after more, then take the Stats and Prime Traits of that parent species, and the Legacy Trait of the other parent species.
