Dawn Elf Species in The Realm of Beardsgaard | World Anvil

Dawn Elf

Day Elves and Night Elves may be cousins, next door neighbors, and share elven culture, they are as different as literal night and day, the sun and moon, life and death, creation and destruction. They are two sides of the same coin, and neither can be without the other.   Dawn Elves live in the space between, the dawn, the dusk, the twilight, and in many cases, the glue that holds the two elven poles together with most of their settlements are on either side of the Alfheim and Svartalfheim mountains. They have been known to be mediators and negotiators, healers, heroes, righteous avengers, and seekers of vengeance when called for.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

One would think Dawn Elves, with parents of both mortal elf species, would age the same in either culture, but the Night Elves take things slower. Dawn Elf age stages take after whichever culture they are raised in, but all things being equal, they lean toward their Day Elf side in this regard. They reach full size around 10 years of age, but are still considered in their youth until the age of 50, at 300 they are usually done with their procreation years, and are considered an elder at 600 years old, reaching an average of 1000 years of age.
Legacy Beings take on traits of each of their parent species. A single Day Elf far back in a long line of Night Elves will make for a present day Dawn Elf with mostly Night Elven characteristics.   Choose which of your parent species you take after more, then take the Stats and Prime Traits of that parent species, and the Legacy Trait of the other parent species.
