History

Founded in the 4th age after the death of King David, the kingdom of Genos was an active battleground between orcs, elves, dwarves, humans, and even a few dragons. Hachepe, wanting to end this senseless violence, called a peace meeting. The site where he planted his spear became the new united capital of all these old foes.

Military

  • The Royal Guard : Personal forces of the Monarch, comprised of the very best of every race in the kingdom. While very few actually stand around at the castle all day, they are a small but mighty force.
  • The Lords' Army: Personal forces of the various lords and ladies that pledge fealty to the Monarch. Offers all the strength of their races in homogeneous, optimized patterns. i.e. orcish breserkers charging in after dwarven artillery has softened opponents.
  • The Mage-Priests of Hachepe : A small organization but often overlooked as they are no counterpart to the College of Blackmire or its militarized holy orders. Comprised of folk who study magic in its purest form and use it for the betterment of all, healing the sick or dispatching mystical beasts.

Religion

Due to the founding principals of this nation, all faiths are tolerated and welcome. This has lead to strange syncronisms where the races borrow, blend, and trade gods between each other.

Foreign Relations

With the new king taking power after a coup relations with neighbors have largely been uncertain. Great diplomatic efforts have been made by the new king though rumors of war have always followed his every action.

After the removal of former King Yoruko from the throne and the Treaty of Innstead, things have become positively civil between Genos and its neighboring nations. Though there is still some tension between Genos' and Blackmire's peoples, their governing bodies are largely at peace with each other.

Agriculture & Industry

With a good mix of farmland, fishing, trade, and mining Genos' economy is far from dependant on one product.

The country is also known for its high quality fabric manufacturing. These products are used to fuel Paxpike's 'fashion capital of the world' status, to be used in cutting-edge garment designs and luxury drapings for its bustling upper and middle classes who can afford it.
